Picturesque and breathtaking views of the Pacific with beautiful wildflowers that populate this glorious walk along the well marked and easy trail. Do not skip this hidden gem as you travel along Hwy 1.

we camped at westside campground so it gets you into all the county parks make sure you go during the week you have the beach to yourselves sand dollars everywhere nice quite walk and they allow dogs on leash so nice to walk a beach where our dog does not try to get attacked by other dogs

Nice short trail. Not too steep of an incline. Easy walk uphill. Family Friendly. Minor walkway maintenance.
If you're looking for an easy brisk ocean side hike. Look no more.

This is not a hiking trail. It really is all a beach. Also, there is a sign for no dogs. wtf?

Great beach to run.

This trail is all soft sand. The entire way. Yuck.

The starting point is not well marked and in the middle of the campground, thus no parking.

Trails to the beach are not marked.

This hikes had some pros and cons. Going down the trial to the beach was scenic but it was short trial.

Well-maintained short hike down to the beach. Lots of tidal pools with starfish, hermit crabs, snails, and anemones during low tide!

Great views and easy hiking for small kids!

Stunning views of the Pacific, Bodega Bay, and the harbor and town.

Half of the trail has steps unevenly spaced...those are always hard on my knees. The beach is beautiful with lovely, large rocks in and around the water and beach.

08Oct2017 Park is under Improvement so there is no place for day use parking. I'll have to try again another day.

Amazing view!

Great Views ✨

Fun easy pretty views- estimate your miles to take twice as long as it's in sand!

Need to amend the trail description to reflect the fact that dogs are NOT permitted on Bodega Head trails. This area, especially the beach sections, is considered to be habitat for the federally listed western snowy plover as well as habitat for the long-tailed weasel. Plenty of other beaches to walk your dogs but NOT this one!

pretty crowded, costs money to get in and park so make the most of it, but is a nice long stretch of beach. don't know why it says no dogs, there's dogs all over the place (not complaining, seemingly very responsible dog owners when I've been)

Nice easy hike! Beautiful views of the ocean!

Great place to explore the coast. Not a long trail, and very easy.

This trail goes along the breathtaking Sonoma Coast in Bodega Bay. We walked with our dogs and baby stroller. There are some areas where Milk Thistle impedes travel. I got a few pokes but nothing major. We saw three dawns and two does while hiking.

NOT a dog friendly trail. Dogs not allowed on trail. But it's a great short trail with great views

Beautiful view, but because of the cliffs I would not call it kid friendly.

Hiked 4/14/17: This is the most scenic walk/hike I've ever been on! It was windy, but clear blue skies and so many wildflowers this time of year. It's really only a walking trail, but we went off trail which added a little intensity and distance. You must take the stairs/ladder down to the beach...there are several picnic tables in the parking lot overlooking the beach. There are also restrooms.

THIS IS NOT A DOG FRIENDLY HIKE. Drove 2 hours to get here with my dog and he wasn't allowed on the trail.
