Beautiful views of the city and reservoir. Uphill at first so you get the hard work out of the way and get to enjoy the end of the hike without too much work. I would defiantly come back again.

Overall nice trail for the good view and convenient/easy access. Definitely very good workout on the incline. Certain parts of the trail are too steep and slippery with loose dirt and rocks, so it may get unsafe if not wearing the right shoes. There were no signage along the trails and many many splits, making it a bit difficult to navigate without frequently checking the GPS on my phone.

Great view of the Bay also during peak sun time many lizards are out and about be sure to watch your step (I saw a squished on the trail). For bird enthusiasts red tailed hawks and other birds of prey can be spotted using air currents to lift themselves higher.

Awesome hike, great workout with beautiful views! Round trip 3h!

Great view of the city and the Golden Gate Bridge. I started from the quarry trail head, but you can also start at the big spring trail head. From the quarry trail head, if you hike the loop clockwise, the beginning incline is steeper and you get to the vista point on the top ridge faster, but spend longer time going downhill. I prefer counterclockwise so as to have a steady incline and spend much longer time uphill than downhill. If going downhill via the Seaview trail (counterclockwise) is too steep and the impact on the knees is a concern, you can split off at the point where Lower Big Spring meets Seaview, and then turn back at the point where Lower Big Spring meets Quarry to get a much more gradual decline.

Relaxing, scenic hike. Forest, wildflowers and views of hills in the distance. Less crowded than other trails in the area

Great views of SF and Bay bridge from this park when it's a clear day! The trail we took was nice. We parked at Quarry parking but go early as it's limited parking. This trail is popular due to the views.

Came here with my family. I thought this was an easy trail for me compared to my last hike. This trail was considered moderate too but we finished it quick for five miles. There is not much shade so I recommend wearing a hat. Wear sunblock or go early or during winter or spring.

My only gryp about this trail is the lots of loose rocks. I recommend to wear mid-top hiking shoes as you can easily loose balance or twist your ankle. A few of us could feel it but we were careful. If your clumsy like my daughter you may feel the twist more so be careful people!

I would recommend this for a daily hike or first timers. Oh and also be wary of rattle snakes here as along the trail, many saw a baby one in the middle of the trail that we past. Make sure not to approach it and walk way around it. They are actually more of afraid of you!

A nice trail for a very easy, quick hike in a pretty, shaded forest. We saw turtles sunbathing and ducks at the lake itself as well as a couple of deer along the trail. Beware that it is right next to Little Farm so there are lots of small kids in your serenity. Please note that dogs are not actually allowed, contrary to what AllTrails has listed for Jewel Lake.

Great, convenient hike! You get a solid workout from the steep climb, and the views are pretty nice.

Mostly flat and good beginners hike.

Nice, pretty, easily accessible trail. Great weather when I went, so there were lots of dogs, hikers and mtn bikers were on the trail.

Very nice trail! First of all, I love the fact that it’s dog friendly. My puppy loved it, especially he got to play with some other doggies on the hike too. The trail has diverse views, forest, creek, meadow, and valley view. Most of the trail is well shaded, definitely a great hike on a warm day. Would definitely come back to the park and explore more trails.

Awesome hike, started counter clockwise, straight up first 1.3 Miles, then continued climb up to 2.7 Miles. It’s hard as described, if one starts clockwise then it’s less intense. Spectacular view of Oakland, San Francisco, Emeryville, Berkley, Richmond, Lafayette, and Moraga. Lot of wildflowers. 6.7 miles with elevation gain 1,667 feet.

As described, hard but rewarded with awesome views of Bay Area. Never imaged a trail like this will be nested in along those big mansions. The first 3 miles are hard, coming down is challenging too, hiking shoes are a must.

Overall it challenged me, and will do it gain on my next biz trip.

Easy walk! Perfect for dogs of all sizes.

Amazing views at the top! Nice short but steep hike. Will definitely do again

Great views. The trail is a bit rough at some points. Easy to slip on large loose rocks

Loved walking through the forest and how it was a solid 3 miles.

Definitely a good amount of exercise on the way up but it was well rewarded with beautiful views at the numerous pit stops. I highly recommend giving this trail a try. be sure to pack plenty of water.

Great views and only 3 hard elevations

Nice varied views and not too heavily trafficked, apart from near the parking lot. We extended the hike by adding a loop around Lake Anza, which we definitely recommend.

You can extend this hike by walking around Lake Anza.

This trail was so great! We went on a sunny day and enjoyed all the sights and restraints near the path. I definitely recommend this one, for those whole live close.

We started from inspiration point and hiked all the way to vollmer peak via seaview trail.. about 3 miles one way.. We reached around 9 am there were lot of vacant spaces In the parking lot.. There is also a restroom near the parking lot at inspiration point.. Amazing views of San Pablo reservoir , Golden Gate Bridge and the city.. Nice elevation and great workout.

Do it! You will not be disappointed. Views are really great

Gorgeous forested hike in Tilden Park. This hike was characterized as “moderate.” I agree. Some steep spots and some rough terrain, but totally doable. #TrailsChallenge2018
