Agree with the past reviews. A lot of elevation gain in first couple miles. Walk out to Paul’s Creek Point, incredible views. However, trail isn’t maintained past that point. Trail has thick, thorny vines and difficult to follow. Look out for snakes and poison oak!

After Pauls creek I could not find the trail but, just follow the ridgeline. Made it to the top with some snow and beautiful views!

This trail is Hard. And, like other reviews it is not maintained past Paul’s Creek Point. My suggestions is that you only attempt to ascend the peak if you are comfortable scrambling up off trail. I used downloaded map in the app to stay as close to or on trail as possible. Lots of downed timber and hiking through thick brush. Our legs are shred up, but it was lots of fun.

This trail is not maintained. I made it to Paul's Creek Point like the other reviewer did and then had to start trailblazing with a machete through thick brush. it got to the point where the trail completely disappeared and things got disorienting. Great views at PCP though. Be prepared for a steep ascent

It is a pretty good hike uphill the whole way. We were able to make it up to Paul's Creek Point a couple miles up the hike, but that is about as far as you can get. A buddy and i kept going to try to make it to the top but the next few miles was through a ton of bushes and over fallen trees. We were not able to find a visible trail after a while and were forced to turn back which made the trip pretty disappointing. Despite the bad luck the views were pretty good at points fairly early in the hike. So good hike, but trail is not well kept as of now, hopefully that will change.

Steep but well maintained. This trail takes you through a beautiful section of the Plumas National Forest. At the top you get a very rewarding view. I recommend hiking early in the morning as several sections of the trail do not offer much shade when the sun is high in the sky. This hike is fairly difficult because of the steep grade, but don't let that discourage you. It is worthwhile.

Harder than I thought it was going to be. The trail has the most beautiful view if you can make it to the top. A lot of burnt trees and fallen trees along the trail
