What a beautiful trail! It was an easy hike (minus the heat towards the afternoon hours) When we got back to the car it was was well over 100 degrees. So with that said, preparation is key! If you have a dog, make sure you bring booties to protect his feet because the last mile is exposed to direct sunlight and the hot ground will burn his pads. Also, bring enough water! Whether it be 3+ liters or a filter. The hike to the bridge is worth it. So pretty. We were lucky enough to have the swimming holes to ourselves under the bridge for about two hours.

There is a lot of trash in the beginning (diapers, tampons, etc) Pack in and pack people!! Let’s protect our environment. That’s my biggest pet peeve with hiking anywhere within driving distance of the city.
