Nice canyon and waterfall view

Very easy trial with several options for adventure. We turned into a longer walk by exploring other trails. Beautiful changes in scenery. We saw bulls, lots of birds and no other dogs today.

Beautiful and easy trail. Be careful with the mountain bikers.

Really nice little day hike. Close to Sacramento. You can make this hike whatever distance you want. Recommend planning ahead and reserving parking spot online for the weekend.

Quarry is good but after you get up goat hill there are a lot of ruts on the trail, overgrown weeds and rocky areas.

really great trail, waterfalls are beautiful. went all the way up, was muddy but not too bad. will definitely go again and again

great easy walk. the trails were very well marked. we ended up doing 8.4 miles.

beautiful trail, pretty easy to follow with the app. ran into lots of ticks though. overall a nice trail.

Perfect hike for a slightly rainy day. Note: the trail leads into private property while on the upclimb, right before you hit the canal!

Perfect weather, perfect day. Trails in great shape. Everyone on the trail was considerate... though couple with 3 dogs had 2 off leash. We extended 3.2 mile loop to 7.4. Awesome workout with the hills.

A very nice hike. The recent rains have helped make the falls nice to enjoy. The trail can get a bit busy but the further you go the more secluded it gets. At the end of the trail, we headed up towards the road and then took a different steep trail back down to mix things up. Lots of shade if needed but not needed with the overcast skies.
Would definitely go again with it’s vicinity to Sac.

Just went in February with my gf and doge. Lots of snow EVERYWHERE. Tons of people still out trail running though. There are a lot of split offs on this trail so we ended up doing different parts of a few separate trails and then just heading back because of rain. Still very nice though we will be heading back soon.

We've come here quite a few times with our dog. We typically do Poppy Trail to Blue Oaks to Seven Falls Vista/Seven Pools Loop to Canyon View to Hidden Falls. Takes us 2 hours round trip with the dog. Only encountered ticks on our pupp once in Late December a day after it rained but nothing since then. Make sure to always check online on weekends and holidays for parking reservation, you dont need it during the weekday.

This trail was beautiful! Everything I could ask for! After all the rain and snow we’ve been getting, it made for perfect conditions. The beautiful green river was roaring by, and there were several mini waterfalls along the way to enjoy. It was quiet and calm and just what me and the dogs needed!

Make sure you reserve beforehand since reception at entrance ranger’s gate may be spotty. Parking permit reservation is required for entrance. 2:30 pm to sunset is $4. Reservation also requires you create an online account. Click on “Other Link Parking Reservations” https://www.placer.ca.gov/Facilities/Facility/Details/Hidden-Falls-Regional-Park-53

Plenty of trails, the overlooks are stable and plentiful of rainfall recently that made the falls really enjoyable.

Really great trail with a lot of variation. Beautiful water views, water falls, and some cool old structures from the former railroad. Many people running this trail. Get there early for parking!

Did this hike on a rainy day, it was lovely and not too strenuous. Highly recommend.

I loved this hike. I did a loop consisting of the Poppy Trail, then the two trails that ran along side the creek on either side, ending with the falls. With all the recent rain the falls are beautiful right now. Excellent winter hiking. Took me about 4 hours to complete.

great quick hike to the falls and back.

Great trail, especially the beginning part! Lost the trail at one point and went a slightly different way, but still good.

Great trail. While one side is stroller friendly, the other side is not, too rocky. But now that we know we will stick to one side of it when coming with a toddler.

Worth it for the dam waterfall!
