Easy and Quick path. Great to get kids out on a hike for moderate exercise.

Closed. Nice flat walk

This is a great trail that is nearly all in the shade. The trail is wide enough in most places to walk two abreast.

Great trail, yes it’s open. Easy to moderate. Easy switchbacks up the hill to summit or you can do the loop. Nice river flowing at the bottom you have to cross.

Beautifully maintained trail. 75% shade.

Best trail in north county. Closed on April 20th. Hoping it's safe for use again soon!

There's a CLOSE sign we were disappointed! (but saw people still walking the trail from where we were going to park) my 5 star rating is not accurate because we haven't taken this trail but can't post unless I rate)

Open! April 15 2020

Great, family friendly trail with older children. One could push a rugged jogging stroller if they were in great shape - wouldn’t recommend a regular stroller. Great views! We took a left at the fork and slightly regretted it only because we’re all fat and out of shape. But, we conquered it - Easter feast and all. Will be back to go right at the fork for the experience but will make a habit of taking the road less traveled because... spare tire.

Trail says “temporarily Closed” will try again

nice family time

Went with the wife and kids today and it was a very nice 45 minute walk. We only did the loop today and didn't go the extended path. We took our stroller with us which was doable, but not the best idea. Had to carry it over the creek stepping from rock to rock.

Awesome trail. I am new to hiking and this is an amazing beginners trail. I keep getting up to the top faster and faster, a great trail to have a quick little hustle up to the top. The views are beautiful.

Given this is the only legit public hike in the north county, it gets overcrowded. If you’re looking to get some alone time in nature, you’d better go early!! Otherwise, it is a well made trail. Predicable and accessible.

Poison Oak off trail. Easy for trail running. Educational markers for kiddos to learn

The Google Maps coordinates are not correct for the parking lot and you cannot get in that way. Just put Three Bridges Oak Preserve Trailhead into Google Maps and it will take you to the right location. Beautiful hike! Very green in March and the mist made it even more lovely. Very well maintained and nice for dogs.

Great first time. We found 2 special treasures. Look for the giving tree! The weather was wet and wild, but the views were so worth it! Can’t wait to hit it against

Liked this trail but it wasn’t easy. The elevation is all in the first 1/2 mile if you go right at the fork. After that it’s a little up and down but also flat. It is parallel to the Chalk Mountain golf course so you can see a couple holes on the back side of the trail. Lots of mossy trees along the way. Some open and some shaded.

hard to find the parking area. The hike was all uphill, then you turn around and head down. Really nice trail. I'm a beginner, it was hard going all uphill. lots if switch backs, but still uphill is not a lot of fun!

great moderate trail....def worth it

Very nice with use as advertised. I might call it easy+ because there’s about 1/3 of a mile steep uphill pull.

Very fun trail for mountain biking, there are two ways to take up and when you get to the top there is another short trail which after a little bit can only be used for hiking, very fun to bomb either way down.

A good hike for beginner - intermediate level hiker. Trail is wide and well engineered so elevation gain is quite manageable. I hiked it in January — keep your ears open, there were a ton of birds; woodpeckers, dark-eyed juncos, a hummingbird, and even an immature Peregrine Falcon. I’ll post a picture when I download it from my camera. Don’t forget to take some time to watch the woodpeckers at the giant tree in the parking lot. There were 4 - 5 nests all with young ones.

The loop part of the trail is very shaded with a gradual incline. The lookout extension is a steeper incline with no shade, but not overly so. Worth the effort with a beautiful lookout point at the end. Well maintained trail.

Great walking trail, would be a green for mountain biking just too many people hiking on it, I don’t recommend for mountain biking

Beautiful hike in the winter. Nice 1.5 mile hike for kids and dogs. Beautiful scenery, green paths, some sun and shade mixed. We will be hiking this trail often. Perfect for our kids.
