Did this hike again about 2 weeks back.. good trail about 5 Miles round trip. Going up went through the left side from the trail head to the Bollinger Creek Trail a paved trail to the top of the peak.. Took about 1 hr 30mins going up. Great views of Moraga, Orinda, Walnut Creek, Alamo, Danville, and Mount Diablo. On the way back coming down took the Chamise trail a true narrow trail over the ridge. Took about 1 hr 30 mins to get down..nice lil hike

We started at the Hap MaGee Ranch Park. We walked a short distance on the Camille Ave to the Madrone Trail trailhead. We hiked the Madrone Trail to the Las Trampas Ridge Trail, and reached to the Las Trampas Peak (1827’). We continued to the Corduroy Hills Trail and climbed up to the Eagle Peak (1720’). This hike was long (9.3 miles) and hard (elevation gain of 2,300 feet) but the views on the peaks were phenomenal.

This trail was challenging on the uphill and the rain has left areas of sloshy, difficult to navigate mud. However, the slog is well worth it if you can make it to the ridge. Beautiful and serene view from the top, pleasant hike back with creek running along the trail. Very nice.

Nice little hike. It was basically the Bollinger Loop Trail with an additional 1.5 mile detour to the top of Las Trampas Peak. So if Bollinger Loop is too easy for you then try this hike instead. There are some nice views of the area, but you'll have better views on Rocky Ridge, although you'll have less traffic on this trail.

Really enjoy this area. There are some very nice trails that don't get much use. There are some nice hills, nothing too log, and some great views. I would like to do it again...
