Hello All, Didn’t realize it was closed on the entrance of Reagan Ranch, as part of Malibu Creek State Park; as I parked in the gravel. Which was not an issue, I even saw a ranger to inquire about the trailhead which was accessible near a large tree. Yes there is a lot of fire debris, just be careful. You can still walk to other sections, and do the Lake Trail. My first encounter, were two beautiful deer. I’d definitely come back, maybe through a different entry, but I can’t wait to explore more. Also, be prepare with plenty of water to stay hydrated! Happy trails!

Wide trail. Good hills. Nice walk.

Take lots of water. We hiked during the heat of the day. Recommend early or later in the day. Not marked very well. We went an extra section and had to back track. River is dry.

Nice wide trails that have been recently groomed from the mustard weed bloom this spring. Oak trees few and far in between for shade, so pack hydration accordingly. Views of Agoura once on the ridge are beautiful.

Great trail, lots of poison Oak though. Bring plenty of water!

(Hiked on 8/10/19). The trail was well groomed, except for a 0,5 mile stretch on Cheesebro Canyon, immediately after Cheesebro Ridge, which was pretty overgrown and narrow. There were a lot of mountain bikers on Cheesebro Canyon, but majority of them were using bike bells. There’s limited shady on Cheesebro Ridge, but the last 4 miles of Cheesebro Canyon did have some shade and tree cover in certain places. Bring plenty of water and have sun protection for your face and head. I would hike this trail again.

Recently was groomed and the green weeds (now brown) are cut back from the trail.

I wouldn’t quite call this a moderate hike. It is all incline from the start. You’re going to be climbing towards to the top but the views are amazing once you get there. There is no shade so bring tons of water. There is loose gravel/dirt! be careful on the way down. I do not recommend this hike for beginners. With that being said; I loved this trail. Great workout that keeps your heart rate up. I will definitely be doing this one again.

bridge out

Very popular trail so get there early to find parking. Bridge was out so you need to cross the river via a downed tree just past where the bridge was in order to get to the MASH set. I tacked on a little extra going all the way to Malibu Lake. Easy hike and not overgrown.

This trail was very peaceful and the view of the fields were amazing. The destination of the rock pond was GREAT! I would definitely suggest jumping into the water. It’s cold and refreshing. This whole trail experience was very nice.

I give it a 3 bc the bottom stretch is completely overgrown....and some of the stems have been bitten or cut and that's made them sharp....cut my leg and face up as the brush is about 6 to 7 ft tall... good workout. hard to get through that at the end of the trail....

Did this trail Sunday, June 2. I know mustard is bad and invasive, but it made for a very pretty trail with tons of butterflies out. Pretty serene despite the nearby road. Overgrown and narrow in parts but totally manageable. Took it to the North Grasslands Trail to Mullholland Hwy.

Welcome to Cheseboro! or is it Cheesebro? Chesbro! The world will never know. Redundancy is an overstatement for this trail because there's a whole lot of 6 foot monster grass ready to smack across your baby face. I only really got an hour's way in with a few friends and they still refuse to talk to me to this very day. Just drive to Simi and hit CorriganVille, it's worth the extra 20 minutes.
