Definitely almost 10 miles. I enjoyed the trail. However the rocks were very hard on the feet after a while and I have good hiking shoes Saw a nice view of the lake as well as many other interesting beauties of nature. Was definitely peaceful.

Going in as one of my favorites! The cliff rocks. The foliage. The lizards. The cave! The lake! It is definitely a moderate hike. Steep in places. Close to the edge in others. Loose rock, so good shoes needed. It is very worth the time tho.

I loved this trail! The trees, the hike, the lake. Very peaceful. My dog loved it as well.

Good trail for mountain biking for a beginner. The trail is well-marked. Nice view of Beaver Lake with nice benches to sit.

I'm from Rogers and have spent a lot time at Lake Atalanta during my child hood. My mema lived in a house up the hill from the lake and we would walk around the lake regularly. I'm a runner and love running trails. Two years ago when I figured out that they spent a lot of time and money to fix up the park and make trails around the lake I was very excited a spent two days running around the lake. I've made it a point to go there ever time I go home. If you take the hardest route of trails it's pretty technical lots of quick elevation changes and twist and turns. Beautiful views and always a great run. Much better than the humdrum of road running. The only thing I'm not to keen on is the board walk. I understand why they did it but in my opinion they could have left it out and just fixed up the road that went around it. It is fun to run on but it is the one thing I would change about it.

Great trail — good marking and beautiful views. Be sure to wear a shoe with a good rock plate as the surface is made up of many 1/2 to 1 inch rocks.

I only saw bikers but clear evidence of horse usage.

Oh, and you can make this longer — I added on a little extra leg to get to 10.5 miles — but I don’t see how you can make this a 7.5 mile trail. 8-9 as a default.

Very easy trail with beautiful views!

Nice hike through the woods. (I actually did the longer Little Clifty Creek trail.) Downgraded because the noise from the nearby shooting ranges was markedly audible for half the hike, as was traffic for about 3 miles of the hike; and there wasn't a nearby body of water at the end of the hike Note: There is a multi-trailhead parking about 2 miles down Townsend Ridge Rd, where one can access the Little Clifty or War Eagle trail; Townsend Ridge Rd is west on Rte 12 from the AllTrails designated trailhead.

Great trail!! A bit interesting for a 4,5,7 yr olds, but they still had a good time.

Arkansas is so lovely! We enjoyed beautiful scenery in this historical area.

Totally more than 8.4 miles. It’s 10.1 miles.
It’s beautiful. Access to the lake. Got to see a beaver

It was a great trail with minimal traffic! Plenty of wildlife, saw multiple squirrels, a turtle and a snake. Was a little bummed there wasn’t water access (you could only see the water from one spot).

It's was alright if you're looking for a short hike with little kids. The trail was not well kept, and couldn't find the trailhead anywhere. Happened to stumble upon the trail after walking towards the lake a little ways.

My daughter and I enjoyed it. Nice easy hike with some history.

Hike is fairly easy as most of it is flat ground. Great scenery through the woods, well marked trail. Turnaround point has a great view of Beaver lake.

My kids and I enjoyed this trail!

me and my husband Absolutely loved it

Surprisingly great trail. Well manicured and scenic. Looking forward to going back.

Nice easy walk on a paved trail. Plan for cyclists and lots of other walkers with doggies and children. Very beautiful area.

Hate what they’ve done to it

nice trail, well marked, solitude!

Good walk to take my dog with me.

beautiful hike!! not terribly difficult but I wouldn't take it if I was shaky.

Nice trail, well maintained, well marked with white blazes and fairly gentle grades for this area. Very enjoyable day hike. Bring water and a lunch and make a great day of it!
