I took Andreas advice below on the parking, perfect spot to park and start at the bridge. Loved the trail and views! Good distance! The beginning zigzag part is all rocks, some pretty large. There is a paved path all the way to the top but I took the wooded trail. The app definitely kept me from going too far off and being lost, thank goodness!

Great paved trail with lots of wildlife and beautiful scenery

Really love this little loop. Pretty easy path through lots of woods. A few exposed stretches. Only real complaint is that it's so close to the road in some places.

As a beginner, the section of trail of I picked was all i wanted. The trail system is very well maintained with minimal obstacles to negotiate. I didn't find any senic overlooks on this ride, but that is not to say there aren't any. I highly recommend this ride for it's easy access right outside of Mena, AR. I will definitely ride it again! ✌

Easy trail with beautiful views! Visited in July 2017, was able to see some beautiful art on the trail!

Great beginner trail. The area that follows the bluff/river line is very well maintained. Small portion of the trail was overgrown, we just bypassed. Kid friendly

Nicely paved trail. Wide enough to accommodate walkers/runners/cyclists. I would rate this as easy not moderate Trail. Close enough to my house where I’d do it again when wanting a quick walk.

Great easy to follow trail with a pretty look out point- great to add onto many other trails.

Nice trail that is close so if you are looking for a quick hike/bike ride/walk/etc. this is a good spot. It's a paved trail and does get busy. The trail was wide enough to accommodate everyone the day I was there (Tuesday).

Word to the wise-take the Military road exit and head south (towards the river) on Championship Drive. As the road comes to an end, near the river, there will be Tournament drive on the right and some kind of road on the left-turn LEFT and take it as far as you can until you reach the parking area by Shillcutt’s bridge/bayou. ***Do not map it thru Scenic drive\Bay Oaks in NLR. It will drop you 100 yards away through which you have to bushwhack to try to find the start of the trail. We only found it because the good folks that have offices there, assisted us. Our helper also indicated that in the evening, they lock a gate and late hikers vehicles could get left behind the gate overnight.

This is a poorly marked trail. It appears there are paved bike paths interspersed with trail switchbacks, so it can be hard to know which is the actual trail. To begin, head away from the parking and over the bridge. 50-75 yards later, you will see a dirt trail on the left and that begins the ascent. It’s a nice trail, not too difficult and it rewards you with some incredible views to enjoy. I would suggest that even those with mobility concerns could tackle this one (I would just stick to the paved portion) because the best view/overlook is paved to the edge.
Happy hiking!

Really lovely jog. Took my pup here for a run in the AM and evening. There is a great water fountain for pups to keep them hydrated. The path is wide, clean, and not overly crowded with very pretty views.

The trail was over grown and poorly maintained where it wasn't in the campgrounds. It was narrow and went down highway 16 for about half a mile with little-to-no shoulder to walk on.

❤❤❤ have walked it many many times

Nice family friendly walk.

This trail is pretty nice, decently long though anyone could do it. It's nice for a stroll. not necessarily hiking unless you go off trail. which is also kinda fun. There are enough man-made sights to take in to keep it interesting.

The trail is segmented so a few sections are connected by short stretches of public road. Most intersections with public roads are easily crossed. However Beebe Capps is an expressway and most people avoid crossing.
One of the most popular sections starts at Berryhill Park. From here an out and back 5k can be ran/walked without a road crossing.
The trail is in good shape but it does need some repair.

Great trail. To make it all the way around the lake you do have to take about a mile of pavement. It was 4 miles dead on. We did explore the waterfall quite a bit.

Nice trail right in the middle of town. Great trail to recharge!

Good trail, not signed all that well. hard to know where you are. Without a doubt it is well worth it. I will be back to ride it again.

Nice trail, well marked.

It's a nice trail. Some fairly recent additions of lightning and a few bench areas along the first part of the trail have been added. The extended trail has been paved with asphalt and goes through a corridor of trees and has few neat sights, like an old worn out bridge and a kayak launch area if you explore off to the sides a bit.

Really great for running.
