Great view of the capital at the end!

This is one of my favorite spots in Central Arkansas. Unless you are seeking a strenuous, switchback filled trail up the hill, be sure to part at the upper trailhead located on Bay Oaks Dr behind Pulaski Tech. The view is incredible-especially considering how easy the walk is. I recommend going during the summertime, as the sun sets over Pinnacle Mountain, creating a gorgeous sight. Definitely recommend it to anyone who loves some beautiful scenery.

Wish they would let people rock climb here

I took Andreas advice below on the parking, perfect spot to park and start at the bridge. Loved the trail and views! Good distance! The beginning zigzag part is all rocks, some pretty large. There is a paved path all the way to the top but I took the wooded trail. The app definitely kept me from going too far off and being lost, thank goodness!

it was nice and peaceful

Word to the wise-take the Military road exit and head south (towards the river) on Championship Drive. As the road comes to an end, near the river, there will be Tournament drive on the right and some kind of road on the left-turn LEFT and take it as far as you can until you reach the parking area by Shillcutt’s bridge/bayou. ***Do not map it thru Scenic drive\Bay Oaks in NLR. It will drop you 100 yards away through which you have to bushwhack to try to find the start of the trail. We only found it because the good folks that have offices there, assisted us. Our helper also indicated that in the evening, they lock a gate and late hikers vehicles could get left behind the gate overnight.

This is a poorly marked trail. It appears there are paved bike paths interspersed with trail switchbacks, so it can be hard to know which is the actual trail. To begin, head away from the parking and over the bridge. 50-75 yards later, you will see a dirt trail on the left and that begins the ascent. It’s a nice trail, not too difficult and it rewards you with some incredible views to enjoy. I would suggest that even those with mobility concerns could tackle this one (I would just stick to the paved portion) because the best view/overlook is paved to the edge.
Happy hiking!

Great trail. Some mud but made it fun. And glad I had the Alltrails app to find this while visiting.

I think we got off trail some how which made it much longer but enjoyed the trail.

Great trail. Switchbacks make it a little more
Than easy. I’d rate it moderate due to those. Very beautiful views.

simply beautiful in the fall

The trail makes a nice little loop. It's well maintained. Unfortunately Interstate 40 is right beside the trail, so there's a lot of traffic related noise.

I loved the scenery but I wish I knew of a better place to park because my car was broken into!

I kept waiting for the part of this trail that makes its rating moderate and it never came. It is mostly flat and fully paved. So, save the tread on your trail running shoes unless you consider the neglected asphalt rough terrain. There were a few good views on the trail and it is mostly tree-covered. It does, however seem to be the local hangout for teenagers to come and smoke.

Enjoyable little hike with amazing views. Enter through Burns Park, the way Google maps trys to take you isn't accessible.

Well marked, clear trails. Shoes recommended for horses as it is pretty rocky ~60% of the trail. Offers beautiful look out point and two bridge crossings.

It starts off as a little mountain hike and then you're met with a long winding paved walkway. Beautiful changing scenery throughout the entire trail [unlike mt Pinnacle or the river trail which are nice but stay somewhat the same from beginning to end] and several peaks that lookout onto the river. I started sometime in the afternoon and didn't leave until dusk. I could probably go in the morning and turn it into an all day thing. Very satisfied with this trail.

Great views! On a clear day you can see Pinnacle Mountain from the top of the quarry. Everyone was very friendly, easy day hike!

Great trail! Nice views of Little Rock skyline, lots of wildlife!

Great walking trail that offers stunning views. Access from River Trail access is rocky and strenuous. But there are lots of access point options to your liking. Please be careful with small children as there several exposed cliffs along the trail.

This is not Camp Robinson. This is the River Trail, a pedestrian only trail the straddles the river running from The Clinton Library to the Big Dam Bridge. It's a great road trail, entirely paved. Camp Robinson is an MTB trail located further northwest in North Little Rock.

I took my 11yo daughter out here. She's an experienced trail rider. We rode a lot of each trail and nothing was too technical. Lots of climbing and lots of downhill afterward. A great trail very close to little rock. Locals should be here every weekend.

Great trail network for trail running, too. It's an awesome resource so close to Arkansas' largest population center.

Great trail network, consists of three trails: green, yellow and red (in order of difficulty/elevation change). Gets a bit rocky in some places, but overall a lot of fun!

Trail was in great riding condition today. A few sections were recently cleared and improved this past weekend. Unfortunately horse pooh is starting to accumulate, especially on yellow loop above the quarry and on red loop. Large forest to crap in, and where do the horse droppings land? In the middle of all trail. What happened to "carry in, carry out" rule? Trail etiquette?

Good trail network close to Little Rock. Plenty of flowing single track to be had here.
