We went on a hike here yesterday and it was wonderful. If you do the Rockefeller by itself, then it's an 8 miler. Adding the seven hollow trail is what makes it over 14 miles. During a 90° day, it's tough but well worth it, alot of shade. The sites were spectacular. If you dont wanna do a hike that long, you don't have to. This trail has 5-6 trails within it that range from 1-4 miles. Definitely a hidden gem between 2 national parks and worth the trip!

Great view of waterfall! The walk down is easy. However, on the trip back up the last part will get your heart pumping!

I can’t begin to tell you how beautiful this place is! Definitely worth the trip. However, if you want get the full effect, go after the leaves have fallen. The canyons are absolutely stunning! You can go now during the summer and it’s still beautiful. But, I cannot wait for fall and winter months to go back!! Also, I didn’t know about the Cedar Falls just right up the road a bit. Go there and there is also big caves to explore in that area. I went to see them. It’s just a fantastic state park!

Great Trail! We did the grotto as well. The kids loved it. I'd say it is kid friendly. We stopped at the Natural bridge and had lunch on top.

Love this trail! Waterfalls and trail is along the creek. We took 4 small children and they enjoyed it. Kid friendly.

My husband and I are in our mid-60’s and enjoyed this trail immensely. It was in the 90’s but we brought lots of fluids. Many people. We will hike this trail again. Took about 2 hours for 2.5 mile trek taking our time.

Awesome trail, beautiful forested trail along Creek. , lots of big rocks and spectacular waterfall in natural rock amphitheater. Definitely worth the hike and mid-May was perfect time to see the falls at their best.

it was good going down the trail through the lodge. but coming up it almost killed me.

It was a very busy trial, try to avoid during the weekends. Had a beautiful waterfall though!

In my opinion, this is the most beautiful trail in the park. Give yourself plenty of time to enjoy the views!

Getting to the falls is a beautiful stroll. Hanging out among the falls and trees are magical and a great green rest. The last 500 ft back up at the end of the trail is the hardest part.

Well marked. Natural Bridge. Small waterfall if there has been rain. Caves. Lots of rocks for kids to climb and explore. Very gradual elevation changes (unlike Smokey Mts). Several creek crossings and place to “rock hop,” so not just another meandering trail through the woods. IMO this is the best trail at Petit Jean State Park. We hike it every time we come camping here. I highly recommended everyone try this trail. Both young and old can walk this 4.5 miles if they just take it slow and enjoy themselves.

Outstanding trail! I did this one earlier this month with Memphis Outdoor Adventures. I would definitely do it again!

The trailhead sign says 4 hours. We got out in 4 minutes under that, even with the side trip to the grotto falls and a lunch break, so I would say the time estimate is spot on.

Great trail! Definitely worth the hike.

Lots of streams flowing now and weather was perfect. A cool trail!

I really love this trail. Traveling from Hot Springs, it is close enough to make a full day out of it! I've completed this trail once, and I am going back Wednesday to do this trail plus some more! Also, this definitely is closer to 13 miles instead of the 8 stated above. The steepest parts are around the 4-5 mile marks!

Excellent trail. The 95 ft waterfall puts an exclamation point on the hike.

The way back up is pretty tough but the view is well worth it!

Great trail. Lots of elevation change so be prepared. There’s a geocaching place a bit off the trail. I recommend taking your time to explore and climb rocks around the trail, especially the natural bridge! Very fun and several scene changes from rocks to woods which kept things interesting. Well marked and I appreciate the mile and half mile signs.

Enjoyed the hike, packed a lunch and ate at the Grotto.

Great hike

We loved this trail! We went in the winter so we had the whole trail to ourselves and the waterfall was beautiful! You hike down to the waterfall, so the most strenuous part is the hike back. We will definitely go again!

Pretty hike and well marked. The natural bridge was beautiful and the grotto was worth the extra half mile there and back. All in all I would say it’s worth spending a few hours there! There are a lot of stream crossings so be prepared for that. My only ONLY complaint is how everyone pronounces the name!! For those thinking it pronounced like the French, you would be wrong! Even though it’s named after a French women and the nick name is French, everyone says “petty jeen” what the heck?! :)

Beautiful falls but a lot of people after the rains.
