What a peaceful place to enjoy nature. The river was gorgeous. Take a picnic and enjoy one of the picnic tables. I will be back for kayaking next time. :)

Nice trail with some great views. Not too challenging. If it’s been raining, you’ll probably hit a few soggy spots in the lower areas. You could spend a good amount of time exploring this area, or you could make it a quick in and out if you have only a little while.

Training to do bigger harder trails

Wife and I did the sunrise hike. Good short hike up to 1100 feet. Will try East side next

It starts out a trail.. then comes to climbing rocks. Definately gets the blood pumping. Great views but super crowded.

nice little interpretive TRAIL with some hand crank machines that play a prerecorded message about parts of the trail, enjoyed

I really enjoyed this trail it is well marked and well used, I only had one area where I got off course because of some wet ground , the course is mildly challenging and clean, only a few other hikers so it was quiet and peaceful, highly recommend this trail and this entire park

Took the east side up. Definitely rocky and a scramble. Got the heart pumping and the top has great views. We took lots of pictures.

We took the south route from the west side back to the east side. Easy to moderate and well marked

We took this trail down from the top. Well marked starting off hard but about 1/3 of the way down turned into moderate. Had fun

Great out today. not too crowded in the morning.

We came and walked about half the trail with kids on a winter afternoon. There was one odd character along the way sitting with his head in his arms next to a bike. Seemed like he might be stoned or something. Saw a couple other folks just enjoying the trail as well. It’s very pretty for being in the middle of the city. Road noise is really pretty minimal. I’m not sure we’d make it a regular stop but I might return to run it sometime by myself.

I would definitely recommend this trail to anyone who likes a challenge. Lots of climbing boulders, and the view is well worth the climb!

I made this one!!! Easy!!

Absolutely beautiful day to do Pinnacle!

Excellent moderate hike! The Boulder fields are absolutely amazing but not for the faint of heart. The view from the summit is absolutely gorgeous! Trail was in perfect condition...dry and not many leaves. Some of the boulders are getting polished from use so just pay attention.

Excellent moderate hike. Kid friendly. Very dog friendly. Gets very crowded on weekends especially during the fall.

came here a couple of months ago, live other reviews, park at the trailhead and walk in to the preserve.

was very clean when we went. no trash. there were markings on trees to lead the way of the trail. neat spot with good views of Pinnacle mountain.

would def go back!

nice views at the scenic overlook.

The trail it's self is marked well with blazes on the trees. very washed out and rocky in spots, but can get through easily.

This trail was excellent!! The rock scramble through the boulder field was tough, but it was just the challenge I was looking for! The view from the top was absolutely incredible! Be sure to take drinking water and take breaks along the way as needed. There are plenty of resting benches along the way that also provide great views. The trail was very clean! I saw lots of dogs, but felt sorry for a lot of them that was struggling with the boulders :(

Nice trail with tree markers on several trees. Paved path with several spurs. I wasn't expecting the spurs, so I didn't have proper shoes to go exploring. Lots of people walking dogs.

Great trail. My pomeranian was able to do it and loved it. The water was a little high when we went so water proof boots would probably be better than tennis shoes on this path.

Such a fun hike with great views. The rocks were intimidating at first glance, but made for a great experience.

I have recently fallen in love with hiking so I ventured out to explore the base trail. I absolutely loved it! A great trail for beginners like me but shared by those with all levels of experience.

Love this hike! The view is breathtaking every time! Totally worth it!

Scenic, quiet trail

trails are just over used and the forest is suffering from all the traffic.

Pinnacle mountain is over used and the trails are full of roots. I wish the state would limit visitors so the forest floor could recover a bit.
