I liked this trail, but got covered in seed ticks! I’m going to come back in the fall.

1.7 mile loop. Ankle breaking rocks the whole way. It's hard to enjoy the trail when you have to look down every step you take! The woods were nice & shaded. Bluff view was nice, but watch your kids! No fence & a long way down. The bench is falling apart, so be careful trying to sit on it.

I liked the shade this trail provided from Hot Arkansas sun, and the trail head was well marked, but not thereafter. i lost it a few times within the first mile and gave up.

Went with my dog 5/19. Nice view of the river from the bluff but nothing else of note. Well maintained and easy to maneuver. Had it to ourselves which was nice.

We stayed 2 nights at the Bull Shoals campgrounds. I took the hike alone at sunset. Beware, the terrain is very rough. lots of boulders and big rocks. Trees and vegetation are cleared out for the most part. Nice cool hike, out of the sun. Creekside portion is fun and bluff overlook is memorable.

There wasn't a set place for us to park so we just pulled in next to the dump station- we later realized that we should've paid a 5$ vehicle fee. The hike was promising at first but we soon hit a dead end due to flooding. As of June 25, 2019, the trail was under water about a quarter mile in. The trail was a bit overgrown for me- poison ivy and ticks present.

Trail was well maintained and very shaded, but is very rocky. Ticks were pretty bad so be sure to spray down and take some water with you.

Relatively easy hike up to the bluff. Wait for bluff views until you see the red sign. Rocks in the trail can be slippery - where good shoes!

Well maintained in most areas, but very rocky as well. Nice, casual inclines with views of the river for payoff. Looking forward to doing this one again. Easily done by my family ranging from 10 to 68 years of age.

I hiked it counter clockwise and recommend this direction. Very rocky with prolific fist sized rocks, some of the worst I have seen on a trail. I would not recommend it for trail running. The trail was well layed and offers a couple river views from the bluff.

This hike offers a great view of the White River below! The Big Bluff is the main attraction, however, the moss covered trail can be just as picturesque depending upon the time of year!

It was a pretty trail through the woods. The trail was moss covered on the second half after the view from the bluff. In late summer you can't see much from the bluff. The knats were terrible along with the spiderwebs. There were many deer and squirrels along the trail. In all, very enjoyable.

beautiful view, ba safe and stay hydrated as the way back up can take it out of you. it took us 45min on the way down and about 1:15 on the way back up.

Pretty view at the end. The hills were spread out so it made it for easier hiking but it was still got my heart rate up a bit.

One of two adjacent loop trails, path leads from Big Bluff Trail to adjoining Oakridge Mountain Bike Trail, the two loops combined total 5 miles.

This is a nice trail but I wouldn't recommend it for people with physical disabilities or small children as it is very rocky. That being said once you reach the bluff...WOW amazing views. there is also a bench to rest at the bluff.

As others have said before me, rocky trail, but not overly difficult. Many spiderwebs and deer at the entrance to the trail. Beautiful view of the river early in the morning. Close to the river all I could hear were chainsaws running, a bummer, but once I got away from the river I could hear more birds and bugs. Totally worth the view of the river in the beginning of the trail, I should have done it backward to get a 'reward' at the end, a yummy dessert!

Nice short loop with a good overlook of the White River. Several deer, an armadillo hunting for dinner, and lots of spider webs across the trail to the point I needed to wave a stick in front of me the whole time to avoid countless webs. Lots of ticks spotted on the top of grass trailside waiting to hitch a ride on something. Trail bed somewhat rocky but I managed in flip flops (I am an experienced backpacker and would recommend sturdy trail shoes for the average hiker). Trail well marked and appropriate for all ages, although there's a significant drop-off at the overlook. Bench to sit and rest at overlook.

a Rocky Trail with beautiful views. The trail could be marked better. although it's not too difficult to get your bearings once you get started.

This was a great trail. Very kid and pet friendly. 2 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs managed the trail pretty easily. It is well marked and cleared. You do have to watch your step since it is pretty rocky but was easily managed.

Great little trail that is right next to the state park. Hiked it many times through the years as we've come to camp at the park. Kid and dog friendly.
