Good views at the waterfall and summit, and plenty of good campsites along the way. Trail is quite overgrown in places, and water crossings on the West loop are often marked poorly or not at all

I was disappointed with this trail. It started nice and pretty. then end up having to cross the highway twice. We were unable to locate trail upon second crossing and had to walk highway back. when returning couldn't locate other trail head. the trail had plenty of sharp rocks and some glass so be careful for any 4 legged friends paws.

very nice

Great trail! Very shady and beautiful. Walking sticks would be helpful for spider webs.

only complaint was that it was overgrown and chigger and tick infested but a good spray will take care of that.

This trail is paved and shady with interesting signs depicting different trees. At one point there is a nice area at the river to sit and enjoy the different birds calling out.

From Indiana, always enjoy walking new trails. this is a beautiful trail taking into consideration where it's located. A nice mix of wooded trail, open preservation areas. and then throw in the lake all in 5+ miles. Great job Springdale.

Short and sweet

Definitely almost 10 miles. I enjoyed the trail. However the rocks were very hard on the feet after a while and I have good hiking shoes Saw a nice view of the lake as well as many other interesting beauties of nature. Was definitely peaceful.

Trails pretty well marked with blue blazes or blue tree tags. Needs some maintenance but I love the trail. Notified the Corp about missing markers when you get to the areas to go around a cove as they are poorly marked. Someone added a few piles of stacked rocks where the blue blazes were missing. Thank you! Definitely a no tennis shoe track.

Love this trail. Well marked for the most part with blue blazes or blue tree tags. It does need some maintenance as parts are overgrown and lots of branches were down. Spent time doing clean up. Good hiking boots are a must for the first mile or more, very rocky and you may turn an ankle. Two big trees down at about the 1.5 mile area (I called the Corps to report). Will do again when it’s cooler. Did this and I continued on to Devils Backbone.

There are a some challenging hills on this trail, I ended up hike a biking on a few. There’s not much scenery but overall a good ride. It’s definitely more difficult than the south loop.

A quiet, easy trail with some nice scenery.

Going in as one of my favorites! The cliff rocks. The foliage. The lizards. The cave! The lake! It is definitely a moderate hike. Steep in places. Close to the edge in others. Loose rock, so good shoes needed. It is very worth the time tho.

I loved this trail! The trees, the hike, the lake. Very peaceful. My dog loved it as well.

This was my favorite trail of this system, the historic aspect adds to it, highly recommended in the off season

It is a good view of the lake, the paved surface kinda takes away from the natural side of it, I like the new fishing peer

I was really excited about this trail, but I was sadly disappointed. The trail is not well marked at all and we got lost (not terribly, just went a wrong way ) twice. But the worse was the POISON IVY. It turned into a stressful hike because we had little kids who do not know how to identify poison ivy, but it also was bad because it was IN our path, not just around it. we had to walk on poison ivy for most of the way. The trail itself its beautiful. we would go again maybe in the winter, when there is no poison ivy , but I would also take some ribbon to mark our way.

Beautiful trail!

Beautiful trail, there are several loops for all skill levels. Take the bottom trail to the falls, you can easily walk right up to the bottom of it.

By far my favorite state park and mountain. This is a beautiful hike with amazing views and plenty of wildlife to see. I suggest taking plenty of water and protein snacks if you plan to complete the entire 18 miles. Some may find areas a bit strenuous but over all a easy day long hike. Enjoy

Beautiful trail.Very easy, yet enjoyable for all skill levels. I did this after a pretty heavy downpour and the trail wasn't slick or dangerous. Great trail for the summer when you want to jump in the water for a quick cool down then hop right back on the trail and keep going.
