Short, easy trail. Pretty views of the water. Waterfalls were nice. Clean looking campgrounds with bathrooms. $3 for parking in the day use area.

Waterfall was nice and it’s a short walk. The campground itself was empty on a weekday at the end of September and had a nice big bathroom with showers... but the trail is not well marked you can pretty much follow the downtrodden dirt path and listen for the water to get there. BTW there is a $3 day pass fee to get into the campground to get to the trail.

Great trail. Just make sure when you leave the parking lot next to the bathroom. Follow the road to where you see the campsites a and b and go between 9 and 14. You’ll see a trail with rocks kind of blocking it. Just go through follow along the ridge and when you come to the T and follow the path...you’ll come to the falls.

I LOVED this trail. It wasn’t too hard, but it wasn’t easy either. The weather was nice and both waterfalls were beautiful. I will definitely hike it again in the future.

We went in Mid-March, and took a 3 month old pup and a 10 year old. It was a beautiful and easy walk in and out. We had a bit of a hard time finding the trailhead and ended up paralleling the river. Once we were on the right track it was easy to find. I wish we had more time to explore. I wanted to go up the creek but we couldn’t.

Beautiful waterfalls

2 awesome waterfalls. Quite a bit of scampering to get to the 2nd & highest waterfall. All Trails app does NOT take you to trailhead. We had to ask other hikers.

We went off trail and got a lotta sidetracked, but found the trail and it was a wonderful easy walk. I had a pup, 10yr old, and an old man, we all loved it. We went for spring break and the falls had plenty of water. No ticks, hardly any bugs. We had the whole place to ourselves and only meet another family walking out. We loved being able to play around in the water and explore, but we did not climb up to the big falls. We will definitely be back.

We took our (leashed) dogs and headed out. We followed the directions in the description above and had NO TROUBLE finding the trail head. It is narrow to begin, but a beautiful hike along the River and in the woods. If you are up for the climb, go beyond these to the main fall... It’s quite a climb and I stayed back with the dogs due to the bouldering they would have to do, so will attempt it another time but my husband and son said it was worth the trip up!

This was a nice hike once we discovered the trail head. There are no signs providing direction. The upper falls is beautiful and well worth the short climb.

So, look. This trail is definitely worth the trek. But it is basically a 2 mile jaunt down an ATV trail with not much going on. If you ride it out, you’ll make it to some extremely cool rock structures and a killer view. Worth noting that absolutely nothing is marked. You’re on your own. Kind of creepy at first. But if you get to the white house, go down the road and you’ll see the brown/grey barn and that road will take you to the ATV trail. I’d like to come back and camp later in the season and then again in the fall. It’s very secluded and quiet.

rocky! blew out a tire on my ATV. beautiful trail though!! recommend

Rough Hollow is worth the effort if done in the fall to spring season to see this wet weather waterfall. It is an obscure trail. Tracks offer a broad path and they don't always lead you directly to your destination. As stated this is not more than a social path. I followed the first track and it made it more difficult than it has to be and also it doesn't indicate that at one point you have to work your way down the bluff to the creek in order to see the falls. When you park, take the logging road to the right, as you follow it uphill and to the east, it will shortly turn left heading NW, at this point, you will see an old abandoned logging road heading east, take it east and it will soon turn north up a drainage. (the logging road will take you to the top of the falls which does not offer a view of the falls). You will come across an old washing machine dumped in the drainage, cross here, and continue following the old logging road. The logging road will be headed south at this point but soon turns back east, at this point look for a way to work your way down to the creek below and follow it upstream, left, to the base of the falls. This trail will ultimately become established and will become popular.

The campground here an parking was a very clean an nice place. The hike to the falls was easy as soon as you figured out where to begin. They are doing some logging above the trails an the flagging is for them. Park an walk towards camping spot 14 and you will be at the beginning of the trail.
