Short climb to an overlook. A lot of graffiti. Nice views once at the top.

Lovely trail and lakeside experience! Unfortunately, you can hear car noise because of the location. It is, however, close to town and has great lights on the water at night (from the hotel across the way). We have been blessed to see beavers, bald eagles, and turtles (everywhere!) here. Don't miss it, it truly is easy and a good spot!

It was a breathtaking view to climb up the rock and look out over the water.

Plenty of beautiful scenery with a great trail that hugs the lake and winds its way up to an old historic homestead, and a small campsite, if you want to pitch a tent. Side note: the part of the trail that hugs the lake was well marked and easy to follow, but the west part of the trail,(on left of the road going in) got a little tricky to find the markers and path. Aside from that, they have a campground(for a small fee) that has great views of the lake and is very clean. it's a great trail for beginners or those out of shape. I highly recommend!!

Awesome kayaking trip. Two nights prior, I camped out in a cave on Big Bluff, whose views were spectacular. You could see it from the river on the way to Kyle’s Landing. Big Bluff is around 500 ft up, I believe.

Don't let the distance of this trail fool you. It is a constant incline hike all the way to the top to add more difficulty. Be careful going up and down. Make sure to use nearby trees and rocks for assistance to make sure you don't lose your footing.

lots of wild life. found awesome bones. great family trip.

on Dardanelle Rock

Unfortunately there is graffiti all over the rock on this steep climb. The graffiti extends to the rock/riverbank across the road as well does trash left behind from campfires, etc. Very much takes away from the beauty of the natural surroundings.

Nice, easy walk, Watch for the nesting pair of Bald Eagles.. Hiked this back in 2013..

An OK walk through the woods. A 2 star trail that I give 3 stars b/c one can post-hike swim in Beaver Lake. There are many other trails in NWA that are better, but I have not found one on Beaver Lake that loops to an ending point right on the lake (as opposed to having to drive to the lake, like I had to do after hiking the Pigeon Roost or War Eagle/Little Clifty Creek trails.

On the plus side, we saw whitetail deer, a box turtle and countless grey squirrels; plenty of wildlife. And who doesn’t love a field of ripe wild raspberries?! We even took time to swim in the clear waters of Beaver Lake at a cove beside the trail. It’s a lovely hike, no doubt. That said, the trail is not always marked clearly, the raspberries have nearly taken over at one point and the ticks—both deer and seed—have got a firm claim to the area. All in all, however, it was well worth the effort.

There is a back country camping area on the map, but we were led to believe it is not open for use.

Also, not sure how it comes over at 4.7 miles. We recorded it at 5.1 and the ranger we spoke to said it’s closer to 6. For Boy Scouts there is a trail patch available through the West Arkansas Council. See their website for details.

Good challenging trail run in June. Started up by ranger pay station to make sure I could find the trail. A little overgrown at that point but cleared up quickly. Most of the path as very easy to follow. Section goes through campground driveway and picks back up just uphill from the marina (asked someone to be sure but was easy to spot once I knew where it was). Good lake views. Lots of spiderwebs and ticks so be prepared. Parts would be very hard to bike unless skilled.

Beautiful trail but lots of pebbles and hills. I thoroughly enjoyed this but would not consider this an easy trail but rather moderate. Worth checking out.

This trail was absolutely beautiful. It took us about 3-4 hours for the whole thing. I do want to let everyone know that the trail doesn’t actually loop, it end at a campsite and then you have to walk about 2 miles back if you start at the hatchery. The hill is very steep up through the hatchery so it’s for sure pretty hard at the beginning but it was so worth it. All it was about 6 miles. It stormed just yesterday so the waterfalls and creeks were full. Just beautiful.

Very steep but very short. Dardanelle Rock overlooks the Arkansas River and offers a view of Mt Nebo & Old Post Park from afar.

Good float for our experienced Boy Scouts (in Spring! )

You can hike south 6 miles from Panther Bay down to Robinson Point, ample parking at trailheads either end.
Or, you can also hike north across Highway 101, then north on David's Trail along the eastern shore of Lake Norfork.
I believe David's Trail is approx 17 miles long (linear) if the Robinson Point loop is included.

As other reviewers mentioned, it's a lovely off-the-beaten-path hike, but extremely hard to follow with the leaves down. I wound up having to take the road down bc I couldn't find the east portion of the trail.

Next time I'd start by taking the trail up (across the street from the parking lot) rather than down.

Really beautiful trail. Tough to follow at times with so many leaves on the ground. Great views of the lake.

Overall a nice trail. Probably would be better when everything is green and easier to follow but still enjoyed this hike. I always enjoy seeing things like homesteads so this was a plus. Not an overly difficult hike but not a simple flat trail either. There was ample parking the day we went, note that there is a park fee.

Five stars for the hike, one star for the trail, at least in November when all the leaves are down and the trail is nearly impossible to follow for significant stretches at a time. Blazes are in impossibly short supply and, even with absolute focus and concentration, I frequently found myself off trail. Mostly these were only by a few yards, but once significantly so requiring me to rely on my GPS to get back on track.

Nice view of the lake, an old homestead, and a noisy frog pond.

Direction incorrect: From Rogers take 62 East; Turn RIGHT onto 127. Turn left on Marina Rd. Very nice moderate hike.

Did Ponca to Kyles Landing on the upper Buffalo, 10.6 miles. Great stretch of water, very scenic, many bluffs, winding river, very remote. Some nice white water, up to a class 3 when we were there, normally up to class 2. This stretch has to be floated in the spring. Your lucky to be able to float this after the first of June. Came back on a second trip and did from Pruit to Hastings, another 7 miles. This route also take you past the tallest waterfall in the state. You can beach the kayaks and hike to the falls from the river.

nice trail, has a few hills that could be challenging for some but is excellent workout and hiking trail.

Nice little hike for kids. Took my kids and my niece for a little mid-day stroll. It was a great little trail for a short notice hike.

It is well groomed ... pebbles blanket most of the trail. Slight undulations. You never really get into the wild and maintain some degree of contact to a road albeit separated by trees. Best for trail running, particularly for a person who doesn't want to get "too remote" in case something goes wrong.

There is a 5k turn around marker for anyone wanting to do cross country running.

Going back tomorrow to trail run it. Note: I am from NH. This is not a moderate trail by my standards and I am 6'3" 254lbs. I would grade this as easy unless you run it.

Nicely marked

Indian cliffs, old homestead remains, and it follows the lake all make it a good hike
