Great trail...not marked well in the very beginning, but after the first 1/3 mile or so, it’s a clear trail. We saw THREE separate rattlesnakes on the trail on our hike, so be careful. Also saw a large tortoise and horny toad. No shade on trail. Beautiful view at the top. Definitely do this in the early morning to beat the heat. A few steep rocks to climb, but not too difficult. Completed this with a group of about 25, including teens and adults.

Me and 2 friends hiked this route on an overcast day a morning after a monsoon hit. Weather was perfect going in. Got hot as the sun came out on our hike back. Wouldn't recommend doing this hike in the middle of the day due to no shade along the trail. I gave it 4 stars because it was a beautiful hike for seeing desert after rain and for the beautiful views.

The waterfall at the end was a drip coming down. Disappointed it wasn't flowing.

I am out of shape and I considered the beginning of this hike easy, then it does become moderate the closer you get to the waterfall (or lack thereof).

When the desert is green, this is the most beautiful trail. Easy to moderate hike, great views everywhere you look, on every section of the trail. I’ve only seen the waterfall once, in the spring. Usually it’s dry. This is one of my favorites in the Supes.

A moderately tough climb due to Elevation, loose rocks and gravel. Well worth the effort as you reach the summit the views are fantastic.

Four Peaks, Mt. Ord and Three Bar Wildlife closed due to drought. Go to website for more info:

I would rate the hike, itself, as easy. most of the way was relatively flat until you get to the end and even that wasn't really hard. The sad part (and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5) was that there was no waterfall at the end. As my companions joked, it was a waterFELL. Still, it was a lovely hike with pretty views of the surrounding mountains and lots of different cacti to look at along the way.

Gorgeous trail! Somewhat challenging in spots for me (54 year old semi fit), but not for my 25 year old daughter. Took about 3.5 hours, and we brought several gallons of water as it was about 104 degrees today. Views are amazing!

A beautiful trail of boulder hopping. The sounds of the birds, the coolness of the trees and the many colored rocks. We hiked in 2 hours and back, I would of loved to go further.

awesome hike! So beautiful & perfect length - was able to do this in 3 hours in the morning to avoid the heat. The only downside is the loud planes and cars on the road nearby.

This hike was so well worth it!!! Loved the scenery and the hills!! Also enjoyed that it wasn't over crowded

Great hike! Beautiful views with good challenges.

Stunning. Variety of terrain. Challenging in that there's several stretches of steep, continuous incline at times, however not terribly difficult beyond that.

Spectacular views of Battleship Mountain, Weever’s Needle and more. The drive to the trailhead is worth doing for the sights on the way even if you don’t hike an inch. Great challenge and worth every drop of sweat for the views!

Great fun hike. Be careful of loose rocks. Wasn’t sure if I reached the top.

Wonderful hike. Beautiful views the whole way. Only saw a few other people on the trail.

Great Hike Today! Scenic overlooking Canyon Lake and other popular Top Hike Destinations Within Superstition Mountain Range. Nice incline workout both up and down the trail. Well maintained. Tapped in at 6.8 Miles with FitBit....NOT 4.8! Bathrooms and Restaurant on site with plenty of parking.

It has beautiful views from the start to the end. I've enjoyed it.

I wouldn't really label this as kid friendly, and this is definitely more climbing rather than hiking.. but I absolutely loved this place!

I had a blast driving along the dirt road to this small, quaint spot. I climbed up to the small cavern and then down into the trench below the bridge. The only problem is... the trail is flooded out (at least what they App showed me was the trail). Because there was no trail I just climbed around and snapped some pictures. It’s amazing how small you can feel staring up towards the sky at the mountain tops. I wouldn’t recommend this for an actual hike but maybe a spot to check out and have lunch.

Loved it, not a lot of people around. Will definitely do this again.

LOVE this trail! It's long and somewhat challenging with the ever present incline. The scenery was amazing. The trail was very dog friendly. Definitely worth going all the way to Massacre Rock. The trail does get pretty narrow in places and a little steep here and there but nothing above a moderate rating. We did lose the trail once and got started down a different trail going the wrong direction so use your map if you can. There were many places where the trail would split and meet again on the other side of a rock. Bring lots of water and sunscreen. We did not see any waterfalls but could tell where there would be waterfalls if there had been heavy rain. Everyone we met on the trail seemed very friendly. Definitely plan to go back.

Great trail. Challenging at times. The distance is way off. 6.64 miles to the base of the falls. Even without water at the falls it is a good hike. At a couple spots it was difficult to find the direction of the trail but if you pay attention not too bad. Will be back out here again for sure!

Nice hike with great view. Went on a weekday and not busy. Easy side of moderate with a steady gradual incline. Decent overgrowth in some areas. Great for dog paws, just watch for cholla. No facilities at trailhead. Dirt road to trailhead was no issue.

Was warned by the ranger that this trail can get busy on weekends so we headed out early this morning despite the cool temps. Don't let this trail fool you. It is a workout with the steady climb. About half way you will cross a small saddle and drop into a short canyon. The trail gets narrow, brushy with a lot of loose rock. As you come to the head of the canyon the trail abruptly turns straight up the canyon side. This is the truly only steep spot on the trail but really a climb out. Once out of the canyon and on top start paying attention. The trail splits three times. Always bear right. The cairns will help. The trail to the left are only paths to view vantage points. At the third trail split there is a multi rock cairn in the split. You can go right or left. The left fork takes you up to the top of a rise which provides a magnificent view all the way back across downtown Phoenix and mtns beyond (30-40miles). The top of the rise is a sheer cliff on the back side. You will loop back to join the other fork which takes you up a very brushy draw to the head of the canyon with 3 waterfall spots. They are not running right now due to lack of water. Up and down in 2:45 with two water breaks and a snack break on top. Very worth the trip.

Ok hike. The views were decent, the trail was good and it is very dog friendly. Be warned, there will be a lot of horse droppings all over the trail.
