I liked this alternative to Sabino Canyon......

It was a good hike. Make sure you bring some sort of hat for all the wasps. I carry our 10 month old in a deuter, trekking poles were a must for keeping balance while clambering over all the rocks. Happy Hiking!

Private, pretty, good moderate trail.

Beautiful and quite easy trail. A lot of wild flowers and flowering cacti.

not marked at all. we did not even know where to start! I would rate this moderate to hard.

So no parking except on the side of the street. Then a mile walk on a private street to get started. Great trail but easy to get off the path. Absolutely no signs or trail markings. This app was how we found it and found our way out. Good views and good workout

Wouldn’t give this a “moderate” rating. Better ranked as “easy”.

A good, quick little trail. My companion was my 10 year old daughter who loved the view and took some Polaroids.

Great trail. Nice and flat warm up the first half hour of the hike and then it gets challenging and fluctuates between moderate and difficult but the views of the valley below can be quickly a d easily viewed. Bridal falls is small and usually only trickles most of the time unless there is heavy snow in the mountains which is not often. Bottom line is that it is a very nice hike and adventuresome. Around March or April brings a carpet of beautiful flowers along this hike.

As advertised. My wife and I had a great hike!

Easy trail, little elevation gain. Good way to get out and see the vegetation up close. Got repetitive after a while.

This review is for Seniors! Proceed clockwise. Get the steep part done first. When finally descending the ridge, be careful it is steep and rocky with lots of loose rock.
I would rate this a 4.5 hardness for seniors. Our group averaged 70 yo. For some it was pushing their limits.

Nice hike. I took my golden retriever with me and we started off on the Northern side of the loop towards Milagrosa. We had beautiful weather and did not find the trail to be too difficult. I'd like to come back after a couple of rains when the cattle ponds are filled and their is some water in the washes. The trail was well marked except when crossing the washes. Be careful coming down the last 1/4 mile. There was a lot of loose rocks that made things a little slippery.

I’ve been coming to this location for a few years. It’s a great alternative to Sabino Canyon due to the ridiculous shuttle going up and down with tourist aboard. It’s much quieter because there’s no PA speaker system nearby. I usually access this area from the small dirt parking lot to the south, in a residential area. Very scenic area as well.

Nice hike. The road is gated, so you have to park outside the gate and walk in about 0.6 mi to the trailhead.

Also - warning the downloadable GPX file only covers the first 2 miles, it does not cover the entire loop.

Fun hike! Lots of what looked to be quartz on the trail. The trail does get a little vague through washes so it might take a little time refinding the route. A great choice if you only have a few hours.

Great hike was difficult towards the end but definitely worth it to see the waterfalls. Very gorgeous views along the way too. Anyone can do this hike, saw teenagers along the trail that made it to the end and my parents in their 60s made it without any problems too.

I have lived in Tucson for almost 40 years. I have always heard that Tanque Verde Falls were beautiful, but never took the time to see for myself. The pictures I have seen do not do it justice. My teenage son goes there frequently to cliff jump into some of the swollen pools, but I went for the beauty. you definitely need to be careful in the upper falls area, and I can see why so many people have fallen to injury or death there. in the future, I am certainly going to explore this area more, but I am going to wear better shoes.

There actually is a well worn trail from this parking area down to the creek, but I always bushwhack down this pitch to get to a nice level spot where you can sit and see all the upper falls, and you are right above the lower falls. 99% of people are taking the main trail down to the creek, and I have never seen anyone else at this spot. But it is the best place to see the falls from above. Great for photos. I have dropped down from the road to this place many times.
