Explore the most popular dogs on leash trails near Superior with hand-curated trail maps and driving directions as well as detailed reviews and photos from hikers, campers and nature lovers like you.

My wife and I did this hike / exploring and had a great time, a lot to see and a good place to take some fun and great photos, recommend it to everyone,

Go in Arizona's short spring season, early in the morning. Everything's in bloom!

April is a fantastic time to visit before it gets too hot - lots of wild flowers in bloom. And the new pathways are beautiful.

This little hike is more fascinating than anything if you have a hankering for botany... it’s a very easy little loop. The arboretum is the only thing really keeping the town of Superior alive, sadly, so I would recommend checking it out.

This trail is borderline difficult in places due to erosion and exposed bedrock which makes for very slow progress, but scenic views are awesome.

It’s a beautiful easy hike. You can make it slightly more difficult by taking the high trail off the main trail. We were surprised to find out you had to pay entrance fee of $12.50 per adult to arboretum to access the main trail. Since it’s part of the arboretum it feels a little less like a nature hike than you find elsewhere.

Easy trail to hike with toddlers or older folks.

Took a 2014 sierra with a 6" lift and 35" tires. Lots of different trails to take throwout. Most of the trails are easy, a couple a little more challenging. I ended following the river bottom for a wile and came across a couple really narrow areas but was able to get throw most of them. Eventually there was one i could not get throw cause of really dense bushes and had to turn around. WOULD NOT go too deep into the back trails if your in one vehicle, when i was there i maybe cross one vehicle in a 3 hour period...

Beautiful hike with the kiddos. There is something for all ages. We went with a 15 year old, 3 year old and a 1 year old and they were all entertained. There was something to see around every turn. We will do this again.

This place as a bunch of different trail and you can not cover the whole thing in a day. I love the place!

Great condition to start hiking season. Easy trails good warm up for conditioning.

We volunteer at this park and walk the various trails twice a day. We absolutely love it here, with mostly easy trails, and a couple of medium.

Was really easy hike, especially with a two year old. Beautiful trees and scenery will definitely go again and next time bring a lunch and have a picnic.

Fun for all levels and all the family

Fun easy ride. I had my 13 year old son driving the trail. This trail has a little bit of everything in it. From hill climbs, to rock crawling. And every skill level imaginable. From super easy, (no four wheel drive needed) to expert (front and rear lockers required). We only spent a couple hours out there and only saw a fraction of the trail. Just watch out for the bulls running around, those guys don't look very friendly.

Couldn't find the trail at first. When we were leaving and loading up, we found a trail that happened to be this specific trail. Don't recommend doing this trail in the hotter months of the valley. There is not a lot of shade cover to get out of the sun. This is more of a winter, cooler months trail.

neat place

easy, gorgeous, we had a bit of water in queen creek.

Discovered BTA three years ago when exploring the area for a future move to AZ. Fell in love with BTA! Close, easy, interesting, wonderful events, gentle hikes, entertaining & educational.

What fun! Beautiful wildflowers this time of year. Saw a cow, ground sqirrels, and a bright red cardinal. Not to mention the awesome jeepin with my honey.

So much fun! It had just rained and the riverbeds were flowing. Slipped/slid big time into a creek and luckily crawled out at a 50 degree angle. Thought for sure we were gonna tip, but the tundra handled it like a dream. A few great trails up to an overlook and then a lot of mud/water/creeks down at the bottom. Not a ton, but a little bit of broken glass. C'mon peeps. Pick your stuff up - take care of this land!

It's not free, but it's a great easy hike to do. I like taking the high trail on the way back. Just go over the bridge.

Loved this hike! What surprised us was it was $12 per adult and it was super busy! But totally worth it. We had our 3 year old and dog with us and they loved it!
