This is the one trail I hike every week.

One of the most beautifully scenic hikes in Arizona. We both clocked just over 15 miles, however taking the trail from the old ranger station barn site campground, to the right, all the way around following the white diamonds and the all trails and map my hike apps. It hailed on us in the last mile, so we were very grateful to get in the car out of the lightening and pelting hail. the 7 mile dirt road was pretty washed out fast as we drove back into town early Sunday Afternoon. Perfect day and lots of good photos. Surprised no Elk sightings, only a few cattle.

This trail wasn’t mark clearly to signify that we were on it or the B.V. Trail. It was good exercise & some nice views. The fresh smell of the pines is always welcomed.

Great location and parking for an easy walk near town.

this is pretty easy for families with small children and pets . but do beware. we just missed having a family member bit by a Rattle Snake! they are up in wooded section. we were lucky we had small children and a small dog. but it did rattle after the first person walked by so we were able to get by safely! I never would have thought they would be right there. otherwise it was a ok Fast hike.

Pasture like terrain at the bottom with a creek.

Cool trail! Road is dirt and has deep ruts. We went for hike during monsoon season. Drove there in an Impala and were able to get in and out fine. But if it has rained we would have most likely gotten stuck.

Was out running a few errands with the wife and we just stopped on a whim and “walked” this hike. We weren’t dressed for hiking but you don’t really need to be for this hike. I did just fine in sandals. Great for a young family to go on with younger kids. Most can make the mile walk easily.

Fun easy trail

We took a shorter route which was good today. This was a well marked and easy trail to hike. We did have GPS which is always nice to have. Only used the GPS when we were taking the short cut. As it gets warmer, getting an earlier start would be ideal. Will be back later for the full hike. Some of the hiking trails were beautiful with Buena vista views.

Good quick hike but poorly marked at times. I kept my GPS on to make it for the full loop. Good views once you get past the trees. But kinda eerie at times alone Will do it again with a friend ☀️

As long as it hasn’t rained in a few days this is a great trail. One of my favorites.

This is a great training trail. Lots of moderate climbing, a couple of technical sections and a bit of zippy descending.

Not bad...Trail is not well marked and with many intersecting mountain bike trails and roads. Good cell service will allow you to check your position using GPS. Pay attention or you may find yourself on a longer hike than you had planned for!

Did this back in July last year. Super easy. Some decent views. Other trails present which you can go off of including disc golf. Right by White Mtn Rd = lots of car traffic, bring music.

We went in February so it was a bit cold but that was expected. This was an amazing trail with bits of snow patches and a very well marked trail system. We used our GPS quite a bit to make sure we stayed on the trail and that helped. This would be an amazing trail to do in the spring, summer or fall. We will be back.

I completed the hike with my two dogs and they had a blast. The scenery was bueatyful, and the hike was challenging enough to be a good workout. Can be muddy in parts of the trail.

Love this trail. We even saw a small herd of horses. The mares were interested in our horses but the stallion quickly diverted them.

Nice views and hike. Easy to miss turns & get off trail so be attentive. Will do again.

The first time I tried this trail I was alone and I definitely don't think it's the trail to do alone. it's pretty isolated. This next time I took my mom and we both felt it was pretty eerie. I guess because it is so isolated in back woods and there were bones hanging from trees. the trail markings aren't that great. We found a road halfway in and took that back to the car. overall, wasn't bad.

Saw a herd of elk just off the trail

This was a great trail! It was well marked and maintained, and the trail itself is interesting to follow, with a wide variety of nature and wildlife (including cows). However, be aware that the loop itself is closer to being 13 miles long than it is to being 9 miles.

Beautiful trail full of wildlife, aspen groves and thick dense canopy. We took our Cub Scout den and hiked 6 miles of the loop. It was a great time and was not very difficult.

This is definitely a four season trail. Beautiful vista views with a different feel depending on the season. In the winter great for snowshoe hiking. In the spring about a quarter mile in from the trailhead water holds and mountain tree frogs can be heard singing. On occasion wild mustangs can be seen grazing in small bands. In particular two stallions Sky and Midnight can be seen along the trail. I was told by local residents that they have been along this trail since 2010.

Lots of geo caches if you enjoy that activity and if you have mountain bikes .... this is definitely your trail!

Not much to see. The meadow is pretty, but you can't escape the highway noise.

This trail was very well marked. I agree it is definitely moderate. Not much wildlife except for a few horn toads. We took the short loop, which took us about 3 1/2 hours. Definitely worth it.

An easy hike for beginners, a kids story book along the way, and disk golf.

Easy-peasy and clearly marked.

Good trail to start building up endurance for harder hikes. It is one that anyone can complete without too much difficulty if you are in basic good health. There are some climbs, but nothing drastic or hard. Nice views, not heavily trafficked, you will sometimes run into deer, elk, and more than once I have ran into groups of wild horses.

Tough but fun hike if you do the full 13 miles.
