Photos of Arizona River Trails

I like to hike along the banks of the Salt River during the low-water/winter months. (And hop in my kayak when they release the water later in the Spring) Lots of birds and the wild horses are almost always present. This late afternoon and evening were no exception. I traversed from Blue Point to Goldfield and continued down toward Coons Bluff. Gorgeous views of the water and unequalled peace. Primary species seen: Lesser Yellow Legs, Harris’ Hawk, Gila Woodpecker, Phainopepla, Great Blue Heron, Aberts Towhee, Bald Eagle, Snowy Egret, Kingfisher, Gambel’s Quail, Black Phoebe, Crissalls Thrasher, Western Bluebird, Cooper’s Hawk,
