Excellent trail with awesome scenery. If you are looking for a good workout this is the trail for you. Defitnley on the hard side with a lot of steep climbs. Will go back for sure.

This trail was amazing. Shade from tree tops complicated and an amazing work out. Beautiful scenery. Highly recommend this trail.

Great hike! Boulders were fun but not terribly difficult. A little tougher than what I expected. Scenic views. Follow the white dots for the more challenging hike.

Great workout! This is my favorite hike when I only have about an hour.

Go left at the beginning for a slow, steep hike up. Continue on the loop for an easier descent. With kids, under 10, the loop takes about an hour and a half. Up and back down the steep side is about 45 minutes to an hour for the typical adult.

Nice hike for beginners such as myself. Nice views all around the lake. However, the trail is not 2.4 miles. It is closer to 3 miles.

Part of an extensive network of trails through a beautiful Pine Forest. Most of these trails are shared with mountain bikers. I had a very enjoyable hike and appreciated the shade during the hot part of the day.

Great hike. We went clockwise (right) on 95. It was perfect. Lots of shade.

The trail was really beautiful, but not clearly marked the farther you get down. Still fun and totally worth it! We went at the beginning of May and there were a few people on the trail too.

good for hiking beginners.

Just hiked this trail for the first time and i really enjoyed it. Taking the right side up is definitely easier then taking the left side up. Trail was really easy to follow well maintained and marked. Not really any great views from the top but if you're into forest hiking then this is the trail for you. lots of shade. even the ridge line is really wooded. I did the entire loop in 4.5 hrs that was with several breaks and a 40lb pack. 32oz of water was plenty for me. There is parking right at the trail head with restrooms and i believe there's no fee to park. but i could be wrong. I was dropped off. But yeah it's a great hike and I'm looking forward to doing it again. Oh yeah. one more thing. the creeks were dry. (hike date 5-5-18)

Trail itself is a very easy walk. No obstacles. There are other trails which branch off on the left (towards the lake) for a more adventurous/challenging trail, which will reward you with fantastic photo opportunities.
There are benches along the trail to "take in the scenery." Def recommend taking a camera.

Great hike with great views! Not much of an incline but you still get high enough to see over all the trees! Not many people were on the trail so that was nice!

Great hike that took about an hour even with stops! I recommend going to the right when starting. If you go to the left the whole first half is straight uphill verses the gradual incline the other way!

Beautiful hike. I grew up in Prescott and love it here. Nice views, easy to follow trail.

fantastic trail.some elevation, lots of trees and shade.

Beautiful park and trail. Agree with Hard rating, mostly boulder climbing. Make sure you have good hiking shoes and bring water and snacks.

Spectacular opportunities to hike and climb and explore in a breathtaking environment. These golden boulders invite to explore off track. Even saw a bobcat crossing my path at 10m distance. Lucky he/she was just as surprised as I was.

Beautiful sight!

Use these directions to the falls and save yourself confusion. Driving down E. Wolf Creek Rd, (eventually gravel) watch for trail mrkr384- marked on both sides of the road. The trail to the falls begins at a single swing gate on your left. Follow it downhill. When the trail opens up, do not continue to follow 384 signs. The falls are to your right when you hit this opening- you’ll see the top of the rocks and eventually be at the top of the falls if you continue right. We went mid-April and it was just a small drizzle of water over the rocks but still fairly scenic.

Gorgeous trail up Spruce Mt! Started at 7am and it was very peaceful. Birds singing their morning songs and the sun rising over the mt. Saw a lot of deer hanging out, some right in the middle of the trail. The weather was perfect! One of my favorites so far for sure!

Not a hard trail. Took a little over 2 hours with several stops for pictures. Really pretty area right below the dam.

This is my favorite hike in the Prescott area. I've done the out and back to the top of Spruce Mountain but I enjoyed this loop even more. Saw about 10 deer running through the forest. This was in the afternoon. Started about 10 a.m. Weather was great. Love all the pine trees, the great smells and listening to the wind through the trees and, of course, the spectacular view at the top. Will do this one again and again.

Fun hike with good diversity! I would call this a moderate hike, not hard, light scrambling but the trails were well marked and maintained. This is a double edge sword however because this along with the damn make it slightly less organic.

Great view of the city but nothing to write home about.

Depends upon which side you choose to start, it can either be an easy or difficult start. The paved path becomes steeper and steeper, while gravel and paved path is easy. Anyway provides beautiful view of Prescott.

BRING BUG SPRAY!!!!

Fabulous hiking. For older not in great hiking shape people like me, it was a bit of a challenge. Somehow went the wrong way right from the beginning and wound up hiking 2 miles out of our way. Understand now counter-clockwise is definitely the harder way. Was a little disappointed watch tower at top of mountain was closed. Must not be open on weekends. One more thing - I think the All Trails directions get you to trail 377. Trail. Trail 307 (Grooms) is at the 6.5 mile mark from Gurley St.

Great hike to see both the Dells and the lake! I would rate it as Medium not Hard. Trails were well marked and maintained.
