Nicely graded trail. About 29 feet of mud from snow run off. Plenty of picnic tables along the trail to rest, if needed. Glad I did this before it’s hot, as there is no shade.

Good trail with nice views. gradually builds in incline so it’s not too intense.

Good elevation gain for getting that heart rate up and the views from the summit are beautiful ! There is a 5-6 car lot available nearby but parking on the road is easy too.

Good trail for a quick in town hike. Intense climb on the way up and quick descent on the way down. Took us about an hour and a half to do the entire trail out and back. Some mud but nothing unmanageable. I wore my heavy duty hiking boots in anticipation of a rough and muddy trail and could’ve comfortably worn my trail runners. No shade but that’s the be expected. Nice on a warm, winter day.

Nice wide trail. Seriously muddy in a couple places, but manageable. Scenic view at the top. Lovely little hike with the pups.

Good Cardio Workout. Has great views of surrounding area. Not much of a challenge as far as following the trail. Good easy trail to access and enjoy without having to drive any great distance.

Soooo muddy!!! It’s sticky and thick, felt like I was walking/running on moon shoes. This is normally my favorite. Bummed I had to turn back.

Super muddy, good to start off the new year on! Enjoy the view, elevation gain and the extra 10lbs on each foot on the way up! “ No one said the trail is easy”

Great family trail . Great for kids . Beautiful scenery.

Dried mud all the way to the top.

Great hike! Very little mud. So unusual and beautiful! $3 to park, but if you park at North Flume, it’s free!!! Off Granite Dells Road.

We only did part of the trail down to the dam but found it to be a gem of a hike. Lots of ups and downs, but lots of opportunity for stops and photo ops. Great scenery, quiet area, just outside of Prescott. Small parking fee at the gate. Would definitely recommend taking this hike in on your travels!

Beautiful! Fun to club on the rocks around the water.

THIS was more of a moderate hike, not EASY. Made for a good workout at just over 3miles and 2 hours to complete.

Pretty rocky with lots of small lava, can be a little “slippery “. Great views and educational if you take time to read plaques along beginning of trail and at top. Excellent cardio workout!
