Kicked my Butt! Javalina Out and looped back in Boulder Trail :). Definitely a moderate hike from 9 am-11:00am....No washrooms, marked well! Great Incline and Workout

Great trail with amazing views of Scottsdale. Bit of a scramble at the end

Fun hike...did this last year at Xmas time around sunset. Had to rush down before it got crazy dark. It was challenging but not overly difficult. Worth the views!!

Love this hike...vertical hike to summit is challenging while loop is serene and there are times you forget you are in the city.

Nice trail. Go all the way up first and then head east, and come around..

Hard hike. Elevation changes.

Did a training run with my base pack. 2 hour round trip, started around 12:39PM. Trail was clean and shaded in areas. Bring water!!!!

beautiful rock formations. easy to navigate, but is a very short trail.

This has recently become my favorite trail. It’s beautiful and provides just enough challenge and incline. It provides multiple places to turn around if you are unable to complete the trail. It’s a family friendly trail and the views are incredible

We have gone up this trail two weeks in a row and have really enjoyed the loop. The steep hills are probably the “hardest” part of the trail but not crazy.

Very tough but good feeling afterwards!

Great hike, easy but felt like a good workout for me as a beginner

Great Saturday morning hike. Definitely heavily trafficked at some parts, but there were times when I was alone also. The towers are sort of a blemish, but the view from the top was gorgeous! The first .5 mile is flat, then 2 mile climb, 2 mile descent and .5 flat again. Great loop!

It was basically straight up to the peak. It's a tough trail especially if you are used to some flat spots. Otherwise, I enjoyed it! Probably a mistake to hike it at 100 degrees in the middle of the day.

Nice trail. Great for early mornings or evening hikes. Amazing 360 view of the valley.

Amazing views - such a nice trail. It is short enough that you can do it in summer before the sun is really up. And if you are up to extend it, there are many other trail this one connects too.

Nice easy first hike of the season with Girl Take a Hike! 40 plus Women!!!

Well marked, easy to moderate with great vistas along the trail. Many bikers not aware of the right of way culture.

Very easy trail . Start early bring water.

The right kind of difficult. Make sure to bring plenty of water though, even if you start early.

Check out the old cement landing of former Cloud Nine restaurant on the south side of the mountain. Great spot to hydrate and rest with beautiful views of central Phoenix.

Less of a hike, more of an enjoyable walk for the dog! Pick a route, any route. Not much of a trail in the beginning but super enjoyable to climb up the rocks.
5:30-6am is a great time to sit and watch the gorgeous sunrise before winter starts, we’ll be back for sure!!

did this trail this morning kiks my butt every time!but its a great hike!

Great hike with a beautiful view at the top. Challenging but worth it. Go early to avoid the heat and brings lots of water!

Great trail with a nice shadow cast in the mornings on most of the trail. Clean and well kept with the trail being made from Lois rocks most of the way. Great for myself and my family (dog included).

I call this trail the stair stepper..my absolute favorite. go to the tip top!

easy going trails for beginners.
love that its soo local but the parking lot gets full at peak hours.
