this trail is difficult if you have not been to many tough ones before there are some places where you have to use both hands and full body strength to climb if you want to get to the top. but view from the top will not disappoint.

Awesome, wear good shoes, bring water!!

Fun trail. Lots of pretty things to see if you’re looking.

The trail, while not clearly marked as L.V.Yates, turned into Two-bit trail. (also formerly known as Dixies peak) It was black diamond, challenging but not formidable, to the top saddleback. the views were stunning. Bring water, trekking poles if you have them and a camera.

Early November was a perfect time if year for this fun trail.

Sooooo this trail was pretty dope. I went around 2pm and there were only 2 cars parked near the bottom. Very peaceful. The trail was about moderate. Very clear trail but always follow the app cuz some trails look similar. Didn’t see too many bugs which I loved lol I don’t fuck with the critters. I would recommend this trail for all ages who are capable. Couples: not too many lowkey spots to get ur freak on but I’ll keep an eye out. Overall I enjoyed the hike and the views. It was lit!!! #Hikeislife

Another beautiful hike here today :). Crossed the road to the stone dwelling...great short incline workout!!!

As a semi beginner, this was a great challenge-good cardio as certain parts are at a steep incline. Quite rocky, but definitely doable! Amazing views from the top!

Excellent Trail

My first trail I ever did , hiking first. Seemover nice a lot of good photo spots. Had a great day

Could not find “the trail” for the life of us! Ended up wondering around and making our own trail. Portions were difficult, would be hard for beginners. Would not recommend if you are looking for easy.

good trail. not the best in the area.

nice and tough. good hike to do in the morning even later morning, sun is not hitting your face and trail gains good elevation making your heart rate just right. nice exercise.

Lots of people. Beautiful view!!

The beginning is definitely very steep and does take longer than expected to make that initial .70 miles can be quite a workout on the legs and calves to the first peak which can seem anti climactic but it does give a great option to loop back down or keep going on further to another peak or further down the canyon. It’s definitely a moderate to hard hike in the beginning because it’s pretty steep

This is probably my favorite trail. Provides an amazing variety of challenge with nice inclines and declines suitable for a variety of skill levels. The views are incredible especially in the evening. This trail provides access to a number of different trails that provide steeper inclines! But definitely never disappoints. It’s an amazing workout with beautiful views.

Beautiful Scenery half way in....awesome Incline workout too! Loved it ....bathrooms on site!

Awesome Incline training today for PHX4 Summit Challenge 2018!

best hike in Scottsdale Phoenix area. Not as rough as echo canyon but very challenging. great views.

Great workout! Slightly overcrowded and parking can get wild but the views great!

Beautiful trail. Loops you around to Piestewa Peak Summit Trail. Traffic is moderate until you get to the back of the trail, then its sparse. There are only a few places that provide shade so make sure your prepared and have plenty of water.

Valle Verde is within the Sonoran Preserve and is a decently long hike, but aside from the initial cacti/wildflowers and the trek up the the Union peak, it’s not particularly interesting and it’s so flat. Dixie Loop is nearby and I plan to do that path next time to see if it’s any more interesting.

Good views of the city easy in easy out

Crossed paths with two coyotes.

best trail in Phoenix

Great Hike Today!!! Beautiful with a nice trail variety for a hard hike. Be sure to take the immediate Left as you enter (before check in station) or you’ll be driving all over. Bathroom at Trail. Sadly some garbage along the way....

Amazing views and sunset
