Amazing at the summit!!

Love this trail!

Tough hike! Almost straight up, but worth it.
I would recommend going early if the temperature is going to be high! We started at 1 pm and it was around 28C!! So hot!
Beautiful views and rocky, narrow trail

Nice upward jaunt, great restart to hiking this year!

Went on a solo hike and it was great. Perfect level of difficulty for me. Took me 2 hours but I stopped a lot to soak in the views. Be prepared for lots of steps, but it’s worth it! The trip down will take probably 1/4 as long as the trip up.

Good easy hike, very clean bathrooms and good amount of available parking. Started out really foggy due to recent rains, but cleared off and gave us a good view!

I've been on quite a few trails, and in my opinion, there was nothing "easy" about this one. Most of it was uphill, which is fine, but it was super rocky. If you are a beginner, I would not recommend this trail. The views were great, as most trails are, but it was poorly marked. Even with my GPS out some of the way, we managed to get off the path twice. It was probably the worst trail I've been on.

Challenging but doable

Fun Run. Enough elevation gain to get your heart going!

lots of stairs but fairly quick! As someone who doesn't hike this took me about an hour and a half.

Good for biking or rollerblading. Pretty greenery all over and little traffic.

Quick hike. Got a little sketchy near the top (we went right, trail went left), but we made it. Awesome views. Nice and quiet up there.

Excellent hike, great views. The 23rd street entrance provides a far-quieter initial hike (although less clear trail) before the busyness of the peak trail

fun easy to moderate but very busy

walking thru here in the spring is always beautiful

super easy, beautiful and right in the heart of Phx so easy to get to.

I felt that this was a confusing guide as the loop indicated on this app was hard to find when we got to the trailhead. There are many different options of ways to wander around at this park and I’d go again, but I’d need to do more research outside of this guide.

We didn't like this trail. It was difficult to find the entrance as other reviews mentioned, but eventually we found it. A lot of time spent looking into backyards of million dollar homes. Also, not the most stable of trails (wear good hiking shoes, not trainers). Lastly, there was a lot of very small cacti on the ground, which didn't make it very dog friendly. We ended up bailing on this one, but it was a great day to be outside. Looking forward to other trails and leaving this one behind us.

Turned out to be a Gorgeous Sunrise Hike after lots of fog....Maintained nice trail with amazing views for an easy hike! Clean bathrooms always a perk and plenty of parking.

Great trail for those of us not completely in shape. Minimal rocks to maneuver, and easy to get to. Park on Warpaint Rd. (You’ll see the other cars parked.) Beautiful surroundings!

Took the doggos, super easy. Nice views and you can get a shot overlooking all of Phoenix.

If you don’t mind a bit of sidewalk walking this makes a great loop. Amazing sunrise hike. It’s become a new weekly tradition for me. No two hikes are ever the same.

Lots of steps :) Worth the trip.

Great position along the ridgeline, fun ups and downs. Trail that drops down to National a little faint, some boulder scramblin looking for where to go.

Ended up parking at the end of N. 23rd rather than where this map shows as where the map shows you’d have to walk through someone’s back yard. At the end of 23rd there is a gravel path that leads up towards the trail. Hard to find the trail and not well marked on this side of Piestewa but we managed. Very strenuous and difficult due to how steep this hike is. It did not get crowded till we got up where the trail comes in from the other side with the main TH. Very crowded at this time on a Sunday night. Hiked from 4:30-6:30 with a long break for a gorgeous sunset about 1/3rd of the way down the peak.

Awesome view at the top... pictures don’t do justice! Make sure to bring plenty of water... no fill station at the beginning and entire trail in the sun!
