Hiked a portion of this trail today to fill some available time this afternoon. Wish we would have had time to explore more of it and the connected trails. Great views and a manageable challenge.

We drove the Montana Loop today with a stop at the Rogers Trough trailhead. FR-357 / Hewitt Station Rd is closed to off road vehicles. We took the detour FR-252 until it split to the north and Bomboy Mine to the south, which we followed to FR-357. All of the gates were open, the rivers were dry, and only a few puddles still left on the trail. Off FR-650, there were a number of RV campers throughout. Uploaded a gpx of the route we drove.

Such a fun trail! Go early to beat the people! I would rate this hike as moderate. It wasn’t as hard as people hyped it up to be. I’m in shape

We just finished a portion of the trail - it was really great with spectacular views! Definitely some deep rutted and moderate+ climbs and overall fun! Did not do the entire loop. Went to point 6 and turned around.

great trail, done this a couple times. great views. You need high clearance in some areas. Nice because the trail changes each time after heavy rains.

Great trail! Well marked, beautiful views! Up and down in 4 hours!

wonderful morning. clear sky and mid 40s. Arrived at trail parking at 8:30am and managed to get the last parking spot. By the time we cane down at 11am parking was as far as another mile down Dry Creek Road. Word of advice, this trail is very heavily used. Lors of people but what do you expect on a holiday weekend with perfect weather. Trail is very easy except there is some steep rock stairs the last few 100 yards.

Great side trip to get off the more heavily traveled trails while in the Box Canyon, Middle Gila Canyons area. Unbeatable scenery. Trail is closed to vehicle's approximately 1.7 mi from the old Martinez Mill and mine. The hike to these historic relics is well worth the effort. Trail follows the wash and I would rate as easy.

This was an amazing hike! The trail to get to the trail head is a bit crowded and not much for scenery especially dealing with the dust trails of 4x4’s, but the trail up and the views are incredible! The last portion is the most difficult but it’s very doable if you take it easy!

The view was amazing! Climbed up between the Rabbits ears, and also walked the White Line trail. Pink Jeep tours are going through the area so there are a lot of people wandering in the area. Nice little hike. Not too strenuous, unless you try scrambling up into the slot canyons, which are also phenomenal!

Definitely a trail you must do when in Sedona...good easily marked trail and great views from all over...

Well I did this hike at night. By myself. It was intense out there middle of the night but I wanted to shoot pics under the stars. Pic is posted so check it out. The hike isn't too bad at all. Unless it's really hot out then I could imagine it being miserable. Having a 4wd truck helped a lot being able to drive to the trail head. Just be careful climbing up the steep rocks.

Really scenic and fun trail. I drove it in my jeep. The first half is easy and laidback, the second half was rocky with some technical parts. Had to go into 4L at one point. Really fun though and looking forward to going again soon.

Nice easy hike with spectacular views and fun bridge. Lots of people of course, even at 9m.

My wife and I enjoyed the hike to the Bridge. Couldn’t find a spot to park in lot so parked on road. From where we parked to top was 2.45 miles. The first 2 miles was little more than a easy trail with sand and a few rocks. Some easy ups and downs The last quarter mile was a challenge but worth it to a couple in their mid sixties. Life is good!

easy. will do again

Great off road trail. Moderate traffic but doable. This was our first trip out with our FJ and it was amazing. Followed Pink Jeep which was helpful through the rocky areas.

Box Canyon is amazing!! It has some difficult places, but we had no problem in a four wheel jeep. Others did fine in Razors and Four Wheelers.
Come back the same way you came in, unless you have LOTS of hours of daylight to find you way past there. We have not, as yet.
Today, we went way up Sandman Road, off of Price Road, in hopes of hitting & turning right Cottonwood Canyon Road, and coming through to Box Canyon. In spite of what the map says, Sandman does NOT go through!! It is barricaded at The Gravel Express pit!! And there is a locked gate on Sandman, on the other side of the pit! Take our word for it!!

great scenic route!
