I’m not sure if today was just an overly active day or if this trail is always as packed as it was today. It was almost dangerous with the amount of people hiking the narrow passes. I allowed myself a 2 hour window and I wasn’t even able to get to the top due to so many people.

Also, maybe a sign and friendly reminders about the right of way - horses (not an issue on this trail), uphill hikers, then downhill hikers. The amount of people just barging their way around was also pretty frustrating. Granted, it was a Saturday morning with beautiful weather, but we’ll all need to share the trail and be considerate of others when hiking.

Great hike for 2 seniors with some joint issues. abundant wildflowers and really appreciated the great signage for the various trails.

This is an awesome trail with beautiful views all the way up to the cave. Be mindful that your in full sun so please take a lot of water. Hiking boots would be better for this trail, gets very rocky. This a great hike to take kids and visitors. The trail has a easy incline which makes gaining elevation easy. We saw a lot of people on the trail with no water,

Very leisurely hike/walk. Beautiful views.

Love this trail. Today I heard and saw a rattlesnake, so be careful.

The first 2 mile on the dirt road is nothing special, but then the trail leaves the road and gets much better.
It was a decent workout including some light scrambling to get to the top. Nice views!
Trail could use some cairns, but someone was nice enough to paint some white lines that were helpful.

This has fantastic scenery. I was surprised that it said easy trail. It’s more moderate for sure. A lot of scramble, lime stone that you have to walk on. There’s some ledges that you can easily slide down.

My dad and I did this hike 3 days ago and it was beautiful. Definitely need at least two bottles! The chipmunks are so cute and the bees totally left us alone. There were all kinds of flowers blooming and the view at the top was amazing.
We did see a rattlesnake in the parking lot so everyone needs to be keep their eyes open now that it’s warming up.

** PURCHASE TONTO NATIONAL FOREST DAY PASS** $8.00 - list below of places that sell them, just call ahead of time to make sure. You can buy these passes a year ahead of time, you just scratch off the date you’re going and display on driver’s dashboard. It’s a gamble if anyone is there checking passes, but the $8 goes towards the parks, so pay up for a good cause so we can all continue enjoying these beautiful spots.

Awesome trail for beautiful views around the lake. Easy hike for anyone in decent shape or if you’re used to AZ rocky trails. Parking is easy down by the Butcher Jones picnic area at the shoreline, and the trail is to the left of the picnic area. First part has a few steep/rocky areas that you should go slowly on if you’re not stable footed, and I highly suggest if you’re older/out of shape/bad knees/unstable footing to get a little hiking or walking stick. Passed people of all ages and dogs as well. Very narrow trail - have to step aside for passing. Fun and easy hike/jog for anyone in good health. Beautiful views of the lake. Trail is highly populated, someone isn’t too far off if you need help ;-) Was overcast and cooler when I went, but bring a lot of water and sunblock if it’s sunny and warmer! Not much shade! Enjoy!

We did the Full Moon Hike (without the moon - too cloudy). It was a great hike - very flat and east to navigate in the dark. The park ranger was great! I would recommend the Full Moon Hike!

wildflowers galore right now thanks to the rain over the past month

Great little trail, about 3 miles round trip. Starts out very easy, but about 0.5 to 0.8 miles in the tails starts to get rocky. Lots of loose rock — you should have good shoes and watch your footing (especially on the way back down). Very narrow in spots. Great views from the top. The wild flowers are starting to bloom.

Didn’t finish trail. Too hot for the dogs

Great trail, multi use so beware of horses or bikes if you have head phones in. Great for dogs.

Beautiful hike with views of the lake. However the ‘EASY’ rating may be misleading for beginner hikers. It is quite steep in several places and it is a narrow trail with steep drop offs in many places.

Such varied, colorful views on this loop! Just enough up and down to keep my legs exercised. Beautiful lime green lichen against the smooth white worn sulfur-ish parts of the trail contrast jagged canyon views. Keep your AllTrails map handy because biking/ATV trails cross this Willow Loop, and a few pools briefly re-routed us at the far end of the loop. See my recording for some stunning views in the neighboring Canyon if you want to add an extra mile or so on another clearly marked (unnamed?) offshoot foot trail. Incidentally, I’m no botanist, but I’m pretty sure I didn’t see a single Willow on this trail.

Easy educational hike great for kiddos, special needs, elderly and anyone wanting to learn about the desert. Very little shade but many places to stop and benches to sit. Educational info along the trail.

Great day for a hike. Beautiful wildflowers, perfect weather. We parked on the south side of the trail entrance on Power. There is no charge and cars are safe. Lots of signs but didn't know where we really were because signs didn't match up. We started on one trail and came across several others. we weren't in any hurry. We enjoyed our time. Spectacular views from every angle.

The only thing “Easy” about this hike is how easy it is to get off the trail! I would categorize this hike as Moderate and would never suggest this hike for someone new to hiking or someone with an injury. The hike is beautiful, with lots of wildflowers; and it’s lightly trafficked, which is a wonderful bonus. My dogs loved the Springs! However, the trail is not marked and we often went off trail. The 4.3 mile hike turned into 8.6 miles, due to a ton of backtracking; not a good recipe with 3 dogs.... and cholla. I’d like to try it again to master the trail as it was a great hike, just without dogs until I have it down myself.

This trail is an all time favorite for bringing out of town guests, or friends with small children. Wide trail good for day or night.

A favorite for a quick, easy way to get some exercise. Nice views, well marked trail.

What a beautiful trail. There is saguaro as far as you can see. The trail was rocky and gravel, easy to navigate. I will be back!
