Easier trail if you don’t mind some steep hills. I like this trail better than the crack because the terrain is easier to walk on.

Excellent short simple hike. It could only be easier if it had been paved, which would be unfortunate. Great views of the island, lake and picnic table up top. Well marked and lightly traveled.

Amazing! Trail was hard to follow.

Beautiful loop around an almost small island. Spots here and there you are able to touch the water. Unpaved trail but still handicapped accessible. Lots of wildlife to be seen.

The old mines are pretty cool but a little scary so go at your own risk, and be careful of your dogs. On the way down our dog was off leash went into one of the old mines and fell into a shaft. The miracle behind it all was we were able to get her out from a connecting shaft and FOUND ANOTHER DOG!! Both dogs were fine, thankfully and we were able to reunite the dog with his owner. He was reported missing for WEEKS!!! What?!? Any who views are pretty cool!!

This could be a four star trail if it were marked better. We took the left fork, at the 2 mile .ark a trail breaks off to the left which leads to a cove with a restroom and covered picnic area, great place for lunch or just watch the boats. Around the 3rd mile lost all signs of the trail and no reception was not able to tell where I was on Alltrails, found a fire road.It lead back to the start along the wash, so never completed the loop.

A great round trip in-and-out 3 hours. With a few side trips very enjoyable. Accomplished in 2 wheel drive F150 standard height. Recommend camera extra water Sun screen food and spend some time and enjoy the view.

A great hike with a very interesting slot canyon. After rain there may be water in some parts.

There is no trail anymore!! You should probably take this off!!

I loved this trail! I went in spring after all those rains we had 2018/19 . There was still water in the rocks! We brought trail shoes and sandals. So all was great! I enjoyed all of it. Everything was in bloom. So beautiful.

We hiked all the way out there and found the mines, and they were filled with trash. Very disappointing. On the upside pretty scenic route, good workout, and lots of natural crystal quartz to be found.

Great trail. Nice view and gradual ups and downs. Very pleasant. Love this trail

the views are breath-taking. not too far of a walk, but feels like a lot more of a hike as there are plenty of opportunities to explore side trails and climb rocks.

Nice hike from Sara Park to Pilot Rock. Around 6 miles total distance.

Very beautiful trail, both lake views and desert. Nice canyon trail, need to watch the the map to keep on the right trail.

Beautiful view at the top. A workout getting there with steep switchbacks near the top and some scrambling on the way down at one point. Overall very enjoyable!

Love this hike, Especially this time of year. All the flowers are blooming, and not to hot. Lots to see. Parts of the crack had waist deep water, which made it more of a adventure going through it. Did come across a rattlesnake, so always watch your step and your surroundings. Was just a beautiful day. 03/21/19

Fun little trail. Little tricky to follow at times, but good hiking

This trail such as it is, was not easy to find and was definitely not in the category of easy! It required some bush walking through a beautiful red canyon leading down towards the lake. Once the lake was in sight, there was a lot of up and down and route finding challenges. We logged about 5 miles I think. We went counter clockwise btw. We had a great time. But it wasn’t easy!

I’ve little short trail, with a nice view over the river for a sunset!
