Very enjoyable trail for relatively experienced hikers. Trails can get very narrow and very steep as you navigate closer to the top of the mountain, near the mine. The views at the top and along the way are incredible and well worth the arduous path to the top.

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for a quick easy trail. Safe for Elderly and pregnant people. Plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. Finding it is a little confusing, just pass the INN sign around the loop at the end of the road. Great customer service inside.

absolutely beautiful trail, on the easier side, water trough at the top to give your dogs some fresh water. my favorite trail so far.

this is not an easy trail. The trail itself has little elevation gain but that is all that is easy. would say more moderate. the trail is 3 3/4 mile out and back, it is very narrow, rocky and sharp drop offs along most of it. it is beautiful but there are much better trails.

nice hike. I was trying to get to Ramsey Peak, but lost the trail after Pomona Mine, and was running low on water.

Love it!!! Nice trek to the top!! Seen a couple of deers that are not scared of people..and wood pecker...the view at the top is very calming...mountain, rick trees...so awesome. A little windy and cold at this time of year but all in all tolerable!! I say it is a must to hike Ramsey Canyon when in Hereford, Arizona !

This is one of my favorite hikes (especially both Carr and Miller peaks during the same hike). I’m amazed at how few people have tried this hike! Highly recommended. Go out and see the world around you from these wonderful vistas!

Tough trail, expect some HAB, steep climbs and decents, technical sections. Beautiful scenery.

We couldn't drive in. The gate was closed and we had a long hike. Beautiful views! There was snow along the way, ankle deep .....and slippery in some spots. But it was warm enough to shed our light jackets at the top. Didn't see wildlife, but saw some formidable big paw prints. Cougar? Met some new friends, too. :) Our GPS showed 14.52 miles round trip... Great day, though!

A few patches of snow on the trail up to the boiler but not bad. Will head back soon to hike up to Bathtub Spring. Most of the trail is on the south facing slope so should be mostly clear of snow.

Did this on Jan 8. About if foot of snow near the top. Beautiful hike and I was the only person on it!

Great trail. One update would be there is another parking area and trail head right outside Brown Canyon Ranch. That would save about .6 miles walking on dirt road if you want to start out on shallower north side of the loop

Steep hike up to cave entrance but not too hard. Cave is cool - be sure to bring flashlights.

Easy, peaceful, gradual hike. Be sure to take the loops. Beauty everywhere. Love the sound of the creek, the huge Sycamore trees and all the deer and birds. Very kid friendly.

Nice easy hike with gradual incline. Great running trail as well. Peaceful and heavily wooded. Popular for mountain bikers - be sure to listen and watch for them. Occasionally see deer. Easy access.

Beautiful peaceful hike, one of my favorites in Sierra Vista/Hereford area. Beginning hike is easy and gradual, with a creek running through. Be sure to take the loops, worth it. We always see deer, a variety of birds & squirrels. A bit tougher going up the Hamburg Trail, you gain around 2500 feet. It’s worth it to keep going.

It’s a great hike into the southern hill country of AZ. Last one mile section is a little disorganized and needs a little work but this has minimal impact on the overall experience.

This was s great hike. Most of it was through the forest so did not get a lot of sun. Even had some snow closer to the top. I would rate this as a moderate hike though. There is a lot of going up. You gain 2500 feet in elevation. Most of the elevation is at the beginning and toward the end. The middle is more gentler elevation. According to my GPS the total round trip was 8 miles. I did not see any waterfalls, however there has not been much rain lately. Highly recommended. View at top is beautiful!

This is an interesting one. The harderst part starts at the Y (i.e. the fork) at the end. You go right, you will climb some narrow trails like crazy and will end up at a plateform next to the metal cable. Nice view. You go left and you will see a few mining artefacts but the trail kind of abruptly stops. I would not go beyond this Y intersection after a rainy day. I must admit that I did not find the actual mine. The old ranch at the very beginning of the trail is very nice too.

this was the hardest trail we've done so far, to actually get to the old mine is seriously steep and Rocky, and far. we made it, but wow it was tough. but once there it was worth it.

Quick hike. Amazing views. Can see into Mexico.

This is the first trail we’ve done in Arizona. It was great. Veered off the path a little bit so pay attention to signs and the map but it was still a fun adventure.

Great views! Easy trail, drive up is a bit sketchy but our Honda Civic made it no problem!

Nice hike to the cave. Would agree with the moderate rating. Cave is really cool. First 100 ft into the cave is a bit of a scramble but flattens out

This trail I would recommend for mountain bikers. In some spots it is difficult for trail runners to navigate large deposits of rocks, forcing runners to walk to avoid twisting an ankle. I was able to run about 75% of the trail, but walked 25% to prevent injury.

It was fun! my kids love it!! Just have to be careful with the loose gravel on the hike up and definitely need the flashlights so I am glad I read the reviews first. Go early to avoid the heat.

This is one of of my favorite hikes I've ever done! If you can only do one hike in this area, I'd recommend this one! I went on a Friday afternoon in late September and only saw one person near the start of the trail.
It had so much variety; scenic vistas from the get-go, aspen groves, mountain meadows, and rocky outcrops. The grade was enough to feel challenging but not strenuous and some rocky/rubbly areas kept it interesting.
Just be aware that you have to drive up a narrow dirt switchbacking road to get to the trailhead.

I would rate this trail more difficult than "moderate" for sure. Lots of wildlife - deer and birds. Came across four rattlesnakes on the trial. Also encountered a mountain lion near the top of the trail, only about 20 ft. off the path. Be aware if you are hiking with dogs or small children.
