I would recommend this trail for beginner/moderate hikers and families. It was gorgeous during the golden hour and we will be back!

easy trail!

Basic, easy trail with not a lot of rocks and no incline. Perfect for me as I am just getting back into activities after being sedentary for years. Went early in the morning when it opened on a Saturday. This trail sits near a couple of other trails that share the same parking lot. Parking lot was almost full when I got there. People were waiting for our spot when we left. Most of the people were there for the other more moderate trails. Barely anyone on this flat trail.

A nice hike, if you hike often, this should be a pretty easy hike.

We really enjoyed this trail. Each summit revealed the next and each one was higher than the prior. Some good challenging climbing at times, but nothing too challenging to seem dangerous. This was probably our favorite of the week’s hiking adventures.

Good little Friday hike 10/18/2019 Baby b feel asleep on the way down, his little head bobbled him to sleep. Good view of the temple

Walked this one this morning. Getting to the flag at the summit was a nice surprise. Heavy traffic on the trail but occupants were cordial. Weather was perfect, hot air balloons were up in a good number. Great views.

Enjoyed the trail. Name markers were off post in several areas, leaving us unsure as to which trail we were on. But, there was never a point when we weren’t sure we were on an appropriate trail. Weather was absolutely perfect.

Nice evening hike after work.

Rocky and technical like most of our trails out here. Nice views. Good circumference for trail runs. Some inclines and declines but not super steep.

Great trail to get blood moving! Good exercise for not going to gym!

Beautiful trail. Fairly busy. Went at 8am Monday morning. Very friendly people. I am not an experienced hiker, and completed in an hour.

I really love the Sonoran Preserve so to try a new hike in this area was already going to be fun! My dog and I sought this trail as a training for Humphrey’s Peak. With two parts where the elevation is steep, it was fun and a little challenging. We just did this last weekend (Sept 29) in the morning-off the trail by 10am, so it wasn’t really hot but sunny and beautiful. I loved that there weren’t a lot of people past the first peak, and there’s even a part where you only see mountains and nature-a rarity in Phoenix! Anybody else think they could see the Santa Rita’s and Mt Wrightson in the distance?! It sure looked like it to me!!!
