This is a short trail right at the K’esugi Ken Campground with very easy access. I did this trail in the snow, but it is very well marked and very easy to follow. It’s great for those who want to hike without going a long distance or going vertical. There’s a beautiful view about half way around the loop overlooking the river and Denali...I couldn’t actually see the mountain because of the clouds, but I know it’s out there! Also saw many small animal footprints in the snow!

Trail was in great condition, there was a small amount of snow at the end 9/28/19 Excellent views the entire time. Starts in the forest and leads past a small pond to a few switchbacks (already open and visually gratifying) and then there is a mellow ridge that tapers off at the top to an alpine meadow kind of area. I found a wolverine print on the trail! A few Rock Ptarmigan were out and about. Along early parts of the trail the sound of the creek seems distant and far down, and about at the halfway mark you can really see how far below Little Coal Creek is, it's pretty cool. In total this trail is about 8 miles. There are phenomenal views of Eldridge Glacier, Mount Deception, The Moose's Tooth, and even Denali, just to name a few heavy hitters, but there's a whole slew of charismatic mountains in picture worthy places practically as far as the eye can see, and all around you!

This trail is amazing we hiked roughly 6 miles. We even hung up a hammock near Tiger Lake and enjoyed the scenery. Visiting from Colorado and we love Alaska !!

This area is for ATVs. There were no dogs, bikes, or anyone else hiking anywhere near this area.

beautiful views, very well maintained trail. absolutely loved this hike! blueberries everywhere!

Was an awesome beautiful trail. Easy. With some stunning views!

x Lake loop to z lake loop, around z Lake, back to x Lake loop then back to trail head.

Muddy, view wasn’t all that. Finished in 3 hours with my 7,10 & 12 year old boys.

Lovely easy trail. 3.5 miles not 5.

Wide, hard packed trail. Just do it.

Wasn’t that buggy but it just rained and plenty of fog. Just to clarify. It’s 6 miles in 6 out. Sometimes on AllTrails the total includes the out and back in one. Was looking for a short hike so I only did 4. The fog never completely lifted.

This is a road. Not a trail.

Easy trail but can add on more miles by going around the other lakes if you want. Beautiful and relaxing. Lakes are very serene.

Went in from Ermine hill and did the second half. Denali was out of sight due to clouds but we did get good views of open tundra. The trail conditions are pretty lousy and you have to follow cairns for much of the northern half. Views without Denali are still ok. Some occasional scrambling might be necessary. Doing this after it rains will give you a nightmare.

Great trail! 8 and 10yr old made it halfway. The last mile is pretty technical and steep... worth it!

The hike is beautiful. Through the ascent it might be a kind of an exercise for people who are not used to it.

5 stars for the view, We got lucky on a clear day and it was amazing. I wouldn't call this a hike, just a walk with a very slight incline.

Lots of mosquitoes for the first hour but the views at the top are SO GORGEOUS. We were lucky enough to have this trail to ourselves which made it even more special. Clouds cleared to unveil denalis glory to us right as we reached the top. Magnificence. Took us 4 hours including sitting for an hour up top.

Easy walking trial. Wide with no technical parts. great views and a few awesome swimming holes

I camped at the top of this trail last night. Left the trailhead at 8:30pm got there at 10pm. Just in time for golden hour. Awesome hike with the most amazing views. I would HIGHLY recommend bug spray or even bug nets. The mosquitos were awful.

Simple path that leads to a great view of Denali.
