Beautiful views in and out. A few patches of snow, but mostly clear. Easy elevation gain.

Still a bit of snow near the top and by lake. Couldn’t walk to the lake because of the snow. Beautiful otherwise! Hiked it in 5.5 hours - easy to moderate.

Great hike with beautiful views of resurrection bay. Light snow near the top. The last part of the trail we didn’t do but looked like bit of scramble with loose rocks and pebbles.

Do not recommend going all the way to the lake for a few weeks at least. Unless post holing for miles, losing the trail, and maybe fall into open water sounds like fun to you. Absolutely gorgeous views just a lottttt of snow still

We used the same trail in and out we couldn’t head down the runners trail because we had little kids with us. Overall this hike was great still had some snow up top we used it to slide down to save us some time heading back.

4.1 miles my a**

Gorgeous hike, lost trail a few times and there’s still a bit of deep snow at the peak we sunk deep into. First time ever doing this hike and recommend to anyone wanting a challenge. Definitely going to feel it in the morning.

Lots of switchbacks. Tough, but doable. Easily the best hike I’ve ever done in my life

Hiked this last summer but just now reviewing. A beautiful and accesible little trail just out of town. It’s a great place to walk a dog!

This is one of the most enjoyed trails we have ever experienced. Definitely NOT like a walk in the park. There were some nice climbs and plenty of beautiful forest. The spectacular views were randomly plentiful. Would love to go back and do the entire trail (we did about 2/3 of the trail)

Amazing trail. Good portion of forest in the beginning all for the view to get better and better as you keep walking toward the lake. I really liked how as of 11/18/2019 there was not a drop of snow on the ground at the beginning and it very slowly gets more and more snow covered until your walking on a snow covered trail and surrounded. The footprints stopped as soon as you get over the hill and a view of the lake before it starts going downhill, so that's also when I turned around. The whole trail gave me a vibe between Acadia, Yellowstone, and North Cascades national park all in one, if those parks were on steroids

Biked up to lost lake! Trail conditions were good for biking, not too muddy. Would bring toe warmers next time!
