Challenging, but worth it. Beautiful for a day hike. BTW...Listed as Strenuous by the NPS.

Stunning views from start to finish.

Great views at the top

Awesome views of the valley below. The whole hike is a pretty trip through the woods with wildflowers all around. I recommend continuing up past the end of the maintained trail. It is still rather defined with even better views and opportunities to explore.

Very steep hike and can get quite warm on the way up. Once on top, great views for such a short hike. The trails are a big narrow and I had a very bad spill on the way back down but a great hike especially if you are hiking solo, lots of people everywhere

The day was about 75 degrees F which made it a sweaty hike. Views were great and you could see Mt. Denali at the top. Would not recommend to children or someone looking for a moderate hike. This was definitely strenuous.

Such a pretty view!! Lots of stops on the way up with beautiful views

Shorter than I would thought it should be, which I guess is a bigger bang for your buck as far as mileage goes. I want to go all the way to Mt Healy summit next time, not just the lookout.

We visited Alaska from Michigan for a week. We laugh because when something says "scenic drive" we're like: "Where isn't it a scenic drive?". Everywhere was so beautiful and Hatcher's Pass was no exception!

Great views and is very approachable, just steep and windy when the switchbacks start.

Beautiful views. Some steep sections. Trail maintenance good. Nothing technical. Windy at top. Nice view of glittering gulch and Denali Park visitor center. Beautiful views of the Alaska Range. And the Park road valley.

If you can do Savage River Alpine Trail, you can definitely do this. It is not so much a quad burner but more of a long slow death but well worth it when you reach the top. Lots of moose on the lower half. You will wonder why people coming back are wearing winter hats and jackets even in June, but when you reach the top you will find out why. Come prepared.

Decent ascent with some nice views from the top. It was somewhat cloudy so the views probably could have been better. Not many people on the trail and nice given its proximity to the park entrance

Great trail....wonderful scenery and a lot of solitude! Good for an overnight or day trip in and out.

Love this spot. Still too much snow to hike the pass but we did enjoy the drive.

Beautiful views at the top, makes the hard work getting up worth it. Went early morning and did not see a soul on the way up, and barely anyone on the way down.

Tough trail but very well marked. I loved it!

Beautiful hike! Pack food to eat lunch/dinner at the top and enjoy the view :)

This hike was awesome. If you can, try to hit it around sunset, because the view from the top is beautiful!

Fantastic trail!! A highlight of our trip to Alaska. Should probably be rated hard as opposed to moderate. We'd been wondering about snow or ice on the trail, but it's clear now.

Fun and beautiful hike! Incredible views at the top. Saw several birds on the way up.

Its a climb but great views. There is a great ridge trail after the end of the official trail.

Remarkable view of the Denali Park Village from the top!

Beautiful winter hike up to Summit Lake. Used crampons. Lot of people skiing and snowshoeing. Can’t wait to snowmobile

Very nice scenic drive.

Amazing drive, views were incredible. Wish I had a little more time up there, I would have checked out a few trails near the lake. You won't be disappointed.

Great, gradual hike with an excellent view. It isn't time consuming and there are several lookout points along the hike for taking breaks. A good family hike.
