beautiful during winter. only could go to the falls outlook. couldn't go to the river because the way down was nothing but ice and wouldn't be able to make it back up.

This hike is definitely a challenge. I am 22 years old and In pretty good shape. It is mostly up hill the whole entire way. Once you past the second bench it turns into a narrow trail, with grass as tall as you. Come to a corner the trail kinda ends and you can go up at your own risk. This part becomes very hard. It opens up and you can see twin peaks well, did not make it any further to see the lake from the very top. Would recommend hiking boots rather than running shoes. Also saw a black bear on the trail right after second bench on the way down. Bring bear spray lots of water, and pack light. Going down is also very tiring. Shin splints is a real thing !

This trail was a bit difficult but so worth the steps and struggles (carrying a toddler)! Ha-Ha!!!! I loved the overlook of the lake and our son really enjoyed the views too! I am so glad we finally got around to do this trail and did not stop at the second bench of the Twin Peaks trail.
I would say this is a "must-do" hike, at least once. ;-)

This is a short, but very beautiful and family friendly.

Nice short hike for all ages with elevations. Busy on weekends. Dog friendly.

Gorgeous with the fall colors! A perfect hike if you want to be able to talk and hike. The trail is wide enough to walk side by side most of the way.

Not bad. Easy trail.

it was fine, but don't go if it's cloudy. no view from the top, but luckily it cleared enough to see the lake on my way back at the first bench

Love this hike. The trail is easy to follow and has some incredible views. We saw a few sheep off in the distance but did not spot much other wildlife on our hike. The fireweed was at the top of it’s blooms but still made for some awesome pictures.

Nice simple hike. Bring shoes you can get wet if you want to reach the falls

Didn't really enjoy the upper section of the trail because it was like walking in a tunnel. The Lakes side portion of the trail was on a dirt road shared with ATV's and mountain bikes

Nice waterfall. The upper viewing platform has the best view of the falls. The lower trail gets you closer and is much cooler near he river.

Nice easy hike with fall and Gorge views. We stoped by Mirror lake adjacent to hike as well.

Short hike, pretty bridges to the falls. Great place to get out for a quick breath of fresh hair.

Great hike! One of my favorites in Alaska so far. Beautiful view of Eklutna! The clouds were pretty low, so we couldn't see all the peaks, but still worth it!

Good hike, mostly up hill. The trail is well kept and the views are great once you get to the top. There are some benches to rest about every mile. Defiantly bring your camera.

the trail is super fun, my family loved it, the falls are beautiful! I got some really good pictures, it's not super buggy, at least it wasn't when I went there.

This trail is marked at the beginning of the trailhead as being 2.6 miles one way. I’m pretty sure this is referring to the distance to the second bench. I’ve done this trail 3 times the first two times the goal was always to the first bench which has an amazing view of Eklutna. This last time decided to continue on. The second bench has a great view of the twin peaks and we were lucky to be able to see lots of Dall Sheep on the peaks. We ended up following the trail to the right towards Pepper Peak to get another view of Eklutna. Round trip we did 6.40 miles (starting in the parking lot and ending in the parking lot) it took us 4 hours minus the time we spent at the benches and the top view. So glad we continued on for those views, they were worth it. This trail is all uphill and has some steep sections past the second bench. My legs are sore today. Don’t forget to wear sunblock and bug spray!!

Short, nature walk. Views are okay for a short walk. Not something you would do twice. Trail does not get up close to falls for a good picture unless you climb make your way closer in mud.

Fun hike. We made it to the first bench and then home on a work night. It is very apparent that you gain elevation. The mosquitos, black flies and no-see-ums were annoying so definitely wear bug spray

In both the ethnic personal care market as well as the mainstream personal care market, there's a lot left to be desired. Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb By now, you probably have a good idea why it is not recommended to use most mainstream personal care products for sensitive skin of color. Not to worry, natural personal care products are the answer

I did this on 7/2/2018. Really nice trail. Parking lot available and 2 unisex private bathrooms, not flushing toilets. Hike is easy and shady. If you stop walking, the mosquitoes will get you. Keep on walking. The path down to the waterfall is moderate. It's probably the "difficult" part of the trail. Great place for pics. Didn't get into the water because it was freezing cold. Have fun and be safe!

Here from Virginia on vacation. Enjoyed this short hike. Love hiking to waterfalls.
