Very easy trail, if you follow the creek towards the bay, the trail turns pretty muddy. If you follow it upstream, the trail is all paved. There are plenty of benches to sit on, the trail is lighted. It goes all the way to the fish hatchery on Reeve Blvd. There are several areas to overlook the creek and ways down to the creek for fishing. Family friendly, wheel chair friendly.

Super easy walk, as it’s just a boardwalk and not an actual trail. Great for those with young children, elderly or those who cannot handle trails / hiking but want the views!
Beautiful views of the mountains!!

This is a great easy hike on the same trail as Flattop mountain. After the initial climb onto the hill, you will have great views of Anchorage on clear days. There are several options for different hikes in the area from the parking lot. This is a very busy tourist area in the summer time so plan accordingly. It does cost money to park.

This is a very easy 1.3 mile loop around Goose Lake. This trail also takes you past UAA on an easy loop. Dogs welcome on leashes, trail is all asphalt and kept up decently. There was no snow or ice on trail when I went. Park is open 9am-9pm. Free parking. At the parking area you can also take the trail and venture off onto Chester Creek Trail. Near the beach area is a kids park and playground equipment.

Easy to take the wrong path in the snowy months and end up on some random mountain thigh deep in snow. Needs better signage.

I rented a bike from in town and immediately set out on the trail - it was great! Beautiful, paved route along the coast. Some of the route is along the water, most is through the trees nearby. Can become quite exhausting on the south half in the hills, prepare yourself! Routes beneath the approach end of Anchorage Int'l runways.

This was my first hike in Alaska. Went on a mostly clear day and had some really pretty views. Could see the city. I didn’t bring my dog but could have. Not too steep.

Great afternoon winter walk. We took an hour and a half doing the loop. Pretty busy with fat bikes and cross country skiing but not to the point that it took away from the walk. No animal sightings. I look forward to walking this trail in the spring and summer!

I loved the trails but a little overwhelming as to which one to go on, they do have maps ect though. Beautiful scenery and quiet, but not too quiet if you're a person hiking solo you'll feel safe.

Busy trail. Mostly flat. Good views.

Really enjoyed this trail. Feel safe enough to bring the kids along next time and if u have a decent jogging stroller u can bring it on this hike ! Plenty of people around !

Beautiful views of the ocean, mountains, and downtown Anchorage. Enjoy airplanes at the end of the runway.

For long walks, short jogs, or biking... it's a great trail!

Easy trail located right on JBER across from the Buckner fitness center. Just over 4 miles that takes you around the Army Airfield. Lots of wildlife and flowers out there so enjoy the views. Easy to follow trail and marked every .5 miles. Family friendly, wheel chair accessible, and dogs welcome on a leash.

Took longer than we thought with our 3 year old of course but really fun. No potties along the way. Benches in random parts. Bring bug spray!

Great paved trail for running, biking, skating, or just strolling along the coast. It has coastal views and nice forest views.

Overgrown and nasty. I felt like I was on the walking dead out there. A fitness park should not look like an abandoned trailer park.

Went to a wedding al Alpenglow Lodge and the tram ride to the top was gorgeous. Got off the tram and hiked barefoot (wasn't prepared, heels are dangerous) to the top of the peak. Super easy to do. So beautiful and worth doing. Decided to go back and hike the whole thing another day when I was prepared! Amazing views and the top is well worth the trek. Not very challenging.

Nice easy and relaxing

Biked the trail to Kincaid Park and back on a rented mountain bike. Stopped for a bit in Kincaid to do some mountain biking. I highly recommend Kincaid park for any adventurist. It was my first time mountain biking and I had an amazing time. Didn't see any wildlife but amazing views throughout.

Did this on rented bikes with my son. Not a difficult trail and paved the whole way. Did not see any wildlife apart from the occasional beetle. But many of the other sights were neat for a first time visit to Alaska. The foliage is beautiful, and there are good views of the bay. Trail goes right by the airport and you can take a nice break in that area and watch sea planes come and go, as well as the big jets right over head. Nice way to spend an afternoon if you're new to Anchorage.

More of an moderate hike as it gets fairly steep.

Lovely views of the sea and mountains with Anchorage sewn into the middle. We didn't see any moose but birds filled the air with song. Watch for bikes on multi-purpose portions.
