Tons of trails in the area, well maintained, nice walk, bring bug spray. My wife, son and I went on a geocache adventure and hit many of theses trails. Nice area, I'll be coming back.

Some many uses, and very well located

Easy walk, but guaranteed some wildlife or beautiful view

The reason for 3 stars is the horrible gravel road you have to drive up to get to the trail head. Was definitely a one time thing for me. If you have a 4 wheel drive you'll be good. $5 for parking. Also as others mentioned this is more a moderate hike than easy.

Peaceful and quiet relaxing

Hiked this one on July 4, 2018. Wonderful views once you get up close to the top and there’s a couple different trail options you can take halfway up. Would definitely rate it moderate due to the incline. If you hike this one on a sunny day, there is no shade so keep that in mind. We brought our two dogs and had them on leashes, but it seemed that almost everyone else ignores those signs and we constantly had other dogs running up on ours. It didn’t seem like almost anyone else had their dogs on leashes up here, so if you have a dog that doesn’t play well with others this might not be the best place to bring them.

Such an awesome trail, great to have this app to help me keep on the right path.

great trail nice stuff to see

Did basically the loop outlined here. Well maintained, but felt pretty boring for the area. Nice if you just want a flat area to roam instead of all of the peaks nearby. We did cut into the air field at one point and came upon a moose, which was really cool.

Really beautiful short boardwalk trail. We saw a moose and her baby!

Really great family adventure! The best city view is a little past earthquake park about 4ish miles from 5th Ave in downtown Anchorage.

A nice city trail. There were plenty of mosquitoes! Nice views and lots of educational signs to read and learn. We parked at Earthquake Park.

Great views the whole trail. Watch for bear and moose in the beginning brush area. Moderate is an accurate rating.

Definitely more hilly than I was expecting but it was a great ride! Woronzof Point Park was my favorite and we got to watch a few planes fly in above us to land. We also got super lucky and saw a moose near the earthquake park

This is a great hike for some exercise. Its enough to get your heart pumping, but it eases off once you hit the ridge line. It ramps up again to get to the summit the view is incredible! It gets slightly muddy at times due, but nothing to be worried about.

There’s about 5 miles or so of unpaved road, mostly gravels, to the parking area by the trail head. Some part of the road is muddy and wet. It’s middle of June and we still have to hike over some snow. The view up top is amazing though. It’s all worth it at the end. The hike is a bit steep uphill but I am sorta out of shape so I breath like a dog hiking up. I love it though.

Not sure I’d rate this as easy, moderate would be a better description due to the incline. Lots of running water, mud and snow still on the trail.

Great trail for biking! I rented a 2 seater bike for me & my son from Pablo’s and experience on the trail was amazing.

Nice views. Very pleasant easy walk. Took the side trail to see some of the changes the earthquake caused. That trail was easy to get a little lost on.

Hiked it 2 weeks ago. I didn’t make it all the way up. There was a lot of snow at the end I didn’t want to trudge through. But it was quite beautiful! A steep climb!

Very easy trail, if you follow the creek towards the bay, the trail turns pretty muddy. If you follow it upstream, the trail is all paved. There are plenty of benches to sit on, the trail is lighted. It goes all the way to the fish hatchery on Reeve Blvd. There are several areas to overlook the creek and ways down to the creek for fishing. Family friendly, wheel chair friendly.

Super easy walk, as it’s just a boardwalk and not an actual trail. Great for those with young children, elderly or those who cannot handle trails / hiking but want the views!
Beautiful views of the mountains!!

This is a great easy hike on the same trail as Flattop mountain. After the initial climb onto the hill, you will have great views of Anchorage on clear days. There are several options for different hikes in the area from the parking lot. This is a very busy tourist area in the summer time so plan accordingly. It does cost money to park.

This is a very easy 1.3 mile loop around Goose Lake. This trail also takes you past UAA on an easy loop. Dogs welcome on leashes, trail is all asphalt and kept up decently. There was no snow or ice on trail when I went. Park is open 9am-9pm. Free parking. At the parking area you can also take the trail and venture off onto Chester Creek Trail. Near the beach area is a kids park and playground equipment.

Easy to take the wrong path in the snowy months and end up on some random mountain thigh deep in snow. Needs better signage.
