Very well maintained trails thanks to the volunteers and the local boy Boy Scout troop’s Eagle Scout project! Very quiet area and lovely experience! I will be back!
Be sure to bring some bug spray!

I enjoyed my hike on the red trail (7 Miles). More trail markers for clear directions would have been helpful but the trails were well-defined and good.

Wonderful days with my granddaughters. Be careful navigating Moccasin Gap. We turned over both trips.

Multiple trails for those who want a shorter workout or one less strenuous. One beautiful section travels next to Lake Jordan. Plenty of parking.

good time not a hard trail nice hike...

Needs to update directions coming from the North. There is a campground near the trails (Swayback Campground) which allows tent and RV camping for those that want to spend some time on the lake, trails, river.

Great trail so far. We took our 8yr old and 3yr old boys. This trail actually offers 5 different trails; 1 mile, 2.5 miles, 4 miles, 7 miles, and 11.2 miles. Today we hiked the 2.5 mile trail. It was easy to follow, easy for the boys to hike, but still a fun challenge with ups and downs and loop arounds. We will be going back and hiking the 4 mile trail next.

needs more trail signs

Beautiful hike but the markings were unclear which way to ‘choose’. It would give us colorful arrows but we had to just make a guess causing us to shorten the hike by a lot. Otherwise I would call this an easy hike.

I love this trail. I have completed the 4 and 7 mile ones. There is also an 11 mile. It is rated a moderate but has short steep climbs in areas. Can get busy at times with runners and mountain bikes however, everyone we have ever encountered has been super friendly.

Good trail. They have a 1, 2.5, 4, 7 and 11 mile trail. 7 mile one is pretty good. A few gradual climbs near the end but it moderately easy. A few places need trail markers because you have to choose which way to go. But it isn't that big of an area so it isn't much of a problem. A lot of tree roots on the 7 and 11 mile routes.

Trails are well marked and defined. Multiuser trails for hikers, bikers & trail runners. Family friendly with a parking area at the trail head.

Pleasant hike- bring a map, just in case you decide to take one of their many side trails. Be alert for bikers as well, as you'll encounter some traffic. Otherwise a very nice and simple hike. Also know that there are varying lengths: blue blazer is the 1 mile trail, green is 2.5, yellow is four, and red is 7.

Lots of shade and great for hiking in the summer. It's a busy trail. I've been out there with other hikers, families, mountain bikers and runners. Several trails with different distances. Maps located in the parking area for you to use to decide.

The trail is actually 11 miles. You can get off at 1, 4, 7 and 11 miles. Moderate exertion and good for beginners. Color coded trail signs let you know which turn to make and there are always maps available at the trailhead. Bring lots of water in the summer months.

Fun for all size families! We have 4 children, very young and we were able to have a blast hiking just 2 miles. I'd love to go back and explore every trail. Well kept trail - lots of fun!

There are 5-trails here to suit a variety of needs for hiking, biking, and trail running.
There is a 1-mile, 2.5-mile, 4-mile, 7-mile, & 11.2-mile trails.
We did the 4-mile trail today. The trek was very good. Trails are well defined and well marked. There are also some markers around the trail pointing out some of the different types of trees.
All in all, a good outing. We will definitely be back.

Kayak supplied through Coosa Outdoor Adventure Center. Excellent service and equipment!! I highly recommend them.
River was low so wasn't as high adventure as I had hoped for but one of our group did fall out off his sit upon kayak. Great scenery and fun time.

Well maintained and used trails for hikers, runners, and mountain bikers. Kid and pet (on leash) friendly. Well done mix of trails to suit your taste. In summer months be prepared for insects. Easy and convenient to communities in the River Region.
