great hike out and back. did the eagles nest overlook on the way back. Was a challenging hike around 14 miles. will do it again in a few weeks. little disappointed to see so much trash on the waterfall end of the hike

Good hike up to the kings chair yesterday. Was not crowded at all and actually was surprised I was the only one at the top when I got there. Trail is a little eroded and slippery in spots. Made it a little tricky in the down hill sections. Was a challenging hike for me but look forward to doing it again.

Beautiful trail, be sure to take the extra 0.3 mile off trail towards the kings chair overlook. Pretty view at the top and a few small creek crossings on the way down.

Great loop. If you want a little more challenge and less traffic try ascending red trail to the red/blue connector. Then descend blue trail after enjoying the overlooks. The trail info sign has fallen over at the end of the red/blue connector. Still visible though. Great views from the various overlooks. Expect crowds at the chair.

Great trail, well marked. I didn’t see the overlook really through the trees even where it had a sign that said “overlook” but it was still a beautiful hike. Start to finish with breaks took me 1 hr 41 min.

Took my kids - ages 3 and 6 - on this trail yesterday and we loved it. A good part of it runs right by a creek and the scenery was beautiful. Saw a good bit of wildlife too including fish, a woodpecker, frogs, and yes, even a baby snake. It’s summer in Alabama so just keep alert. Definitely give this one a thumbs up if you’re looking for a good family friendly trail.

The falls are beautiful and well worth the hike!

Fun trail, though the elevation gain (especially starting out going up the Green Trail to West Ridge) isn’t for the faint of heart! Having done West Ridge a couple months ago (late February/early March), I can say the scenery is best in the late fall/winter since the bare trees give you a great view of the lake to the north.

Probably the best hike in the park. Elevation and distance make this a solid little workout. You can extend it (and you should, theres more scenery this way) by staying on the wider red trail a bit longer than the most direct route and then looping back to your left to return to the blue trail. The overlook is pretty great despite it being mostly just tree tops. If you go in the winter, expect a sea of brown as your overlook, however.

Great trail. Even though it has some elevation and length, it is easy with a great view.

Followed the Yellow Trail to Maggie's Glen then picked up the White Trail to the Cabins and then back around the lake to the parking area.

Well maintained and well shaded. A little wet a day after a good rain.

Really fun trail with great view but can be a little crowded and have to share with mountain bikers. Overall a good trail to a good view

Great trail, mostly flat. I had a 6 year old that did it no problem! Definitely doing it again!

Don’t forget if you hike in Oak Mountain State Park, it’s $5 per person entry fee!

Great trail! Can be challenging at times with the elevation change but nothing someone of average physical fitness can’t handle.

Had a great time. Excellent trail. Pretty waterfall.
