Should be closed. Close to dangerous. Not maintained at all. Multiple downed trees. At about one mile the blazes just stop. Hasn’t been maintained at all recently. We are fairly avid hikers and it’s the worst I’ve ever been on.

Beautiful views! We were there mid week and were the only ones. I'd say moderate hike given the steep initial and final descent / ascent.

Short but very pretty trail. The view at the lookout was really spectacular!!! I’m glad me and my husband made this little pit stop on our cross country road trip.

Very short and easy hike. We did this one and another one to make it a little longer hike for us.
The climb back up may be a little workout if you don't get out much. Definitely worth it. Nice views.

One of my favorite trails. Steep climb back to parking, prepare to be winded.

Found the second part of the trail after walking about a 1/2 mile past it! Was not able to navigate it because it was not a clear, clean trial! Overall had a wonderful time!

This was a beautiful spot. I hiked this with my two boys, under 10, and it was no problem. We hiked down the cliff on the rocks and they loved it. There were a couple of spots that required some careful planning, but still pretty safe. A couple cool tunnels or caves in the rocks and lots of beautiful pictures.

Easy walk to the scenic point. The view is beautiful. I took my two boys, under 10, and we went off trail and climbed several rocks along the side of the mountain. It was a great time.

Good hike beginning is very steep leaving a steep hike out. Great views at the mountains edge.

Worth the trip and so many more amazing views. It was very foggy but standing on the edge of the cliff was a feeling I’ve never experienced.

Great overlook! Trail is steep at first but levels out

This place is special to me. It’s a gorgeous overlook of how beautiful the state of Alabama is. Very easy hike.

Best lookout in the park. The "hike" is really more of a short 5 minute path to get to the rock. Lots of cool rock formations to explore. Faces west so it's probably perfect for sunset! If you go to Cheaha Park you have to go here.

Great hike but I got lost about half way through. Well not really lost, but I wasn't 100% sure I was on track and decided to head back... the trail isn't marked well (or at all) like Pinhoti Trail (which I highly recommend over this). Pinhoti is a great trail, Bald Rock and Pulpit Rock and incredible lookouts, but this one is just kind of alright. Still worth the hike if you're in the area for a couple of days.

Beautiful scenery a small creek when it rains. Took this hike with a dog, and a three and four year old no problem. Easy hike.

Great trail for half day adventure .

Easy walk on boardwalk or a off trial walk. beautiful views off the rocks

Short trail but really good views

Pretty easy trail with only a small section with a steep incline/decline. The views from Pulpit Rock are what make the trail so great, but you can get some of the same views on harder trails. I highly recommend this trail to any beginner hikers and families.

Started at Lake Cheaha trailhead (Blue Marker). It was steep and rocky for the majority of the trail. Amazing views along the trail. Also a couple of very cold creeks to cool off in. The trail merges with Mountain Laurel (Pink Marker) at the scenic area. We followed the Mountain Laurel trail to the upper campground then cut through the wood to the observation tower and then back down to the lake. 3.6 miles total. Strenuous for the both of us, I'm 38, she's 14. I would definitely do it again.
