Fun for all levels. Go during late fall or spring when water volume is higher.

Poorly maintained. Overgrown in spots and poorly marked. The beavers have left so no pond. Take a hint from the beavers and try another trail.

I would not recommend this trail at all. It is very poorly maintained. Very overgrown and hard to get through the weeds. The "pond" was just a mud hole. Don't waste your time there are so many beautiful trails close by that this one isn't worth the effort.

has 4 bridges that are aging, grown up, need stick or something to beat thru the trail, made it to the look out at the pond it was grown up..not well maintained at all. does have a few benches if you can get thru to them.

We came on a holiday, and a lot of the falls are dried up right now, so this one was very crowded. We'll definitely go back earlier tomorrow!

very grown up with brush. trail markers are faded badly. had to beat brush back a some places in the tail. pond was all grown up with trees and brush. only about a five foot view of the pond. not a maintained trail

fun trail

it was as great. took the entire family ages 6,9,12,36,32. we all are different levels of fit and was able to do this with ease. even the dog loved it. great places to get in to cool off too

About a half a mile in either direction the grass becomes to high and is over growing the trail. Once I come to a point like this on any trail, I will turn around do to safety. If I can’t see 2 feet in front of me then I will never known what dangerous lay ahead. I wish it would have been clearer so I could have completed it.

Beautiful setting! I’m not much of a runner but the dirt part of the trail was pretty flat and I was able to do some jogging. Quick little trail but worth the visit. I also visited many of the other trails and sight seeing areas while there.

very simple and short trail. has an overlook and a trail for river access. was very easy for my seven month old dog. nice views, pretty water, would recommend.

Pretty views of the waterfall and canyon are easy to get to! Great hike to do with kids!

As my phone had no service and I used the trail map provided by the park, my experience was not what I was expecting. This hike was not difficult, and it was similar to the hiking in Oklahoma around Stillwater, the change in incline was less than I experience in Kansas walking to the river from my house.

Had a blast there this past weekend

Beautiful place to go to! Walk further down another trail and you can get to Martha’s falls and jump off cliffs!! Great adventure

Not the best trail. Especially not good for kids. High grasses. Lots of bugs. The pond was pretty much a swamp. One bright spot, there are wild blueberries on the trail. Lots of them. All at the first .2 miles, so maybe worth it to hike in and out just to see those.

The trail itself was beautiful especially by the river but there are A LOT of ticks. I highly recommend you and your dogs are treated for ticks before tackling this hike. The trail head actually begins in the state park just beyond the lodge and cabins.

Very easy trail... but we was told from the man in the gift shop it was a half mile (which was wrong). That
would have been fine if we all had our hiking shoes on lol. Expect to get feet wet/muddy on this hike. We did see the Lost Falls which was small, there was a family playing at the falls. We thought we saw where Laurel Falls was but no water (if that was the right spot). We followed blue markers until we got to Lost Falls then switched to the lower Orange trail markers to head back. I thought the trail was nice but we had just got the wrong information.

This review and map was not for desoto falls. We hiked a mile in and found small trickle of falls and a beautiful hike. Desoto falls is huge and you drive to it. Stop at the country store to get turn by turn directions

There is no trail at this location. If there is, it is poorly marked with no clear access point.

The falls are pretty but the crowds of tourists ruin a lot of the experience

this trail is in various states of order. it is quite versatile, with several options for "bouldering" right next to the water, or taking an exit up to the bluff to walk along backroad 5 or along to ccc road (gillam trail is part of this). though maps show just 3 exits, there are actually 6 well marked exits all the way down to the river mouthing into the other fork near backroad 5 for a much longer and more scenic hike. not well frequented, lost the trail a few times but easy to follow the river and bluff. it seems the trails haven't been tracked for a while but there are some online efforts to update the maps and trail markings. blissful solitude, just me and the birds.

Simply Beautiful. Trekked down to Martha's Falls. Our dog, Ringo, enjoyed his very first trail experience. Looking forward to coming back.

this trail was a relaxing walk with a great view.

Awesome trail! Very moderate a few little uphills. Parked at second lot on right past the canteen hut and hiked up the blue trail and meet the orange trail and hiked back down to make a loop! Trail is very clearly marked! Highly recommend!
