This is a beautiful beach. If you can find parking nearby it is worth the stop. This isn’t a hike, it’s a stroll along the shore at the beach. Wear a bikini and reef safe sunscreen. Jump in for a snorkel. It’s all good.

Seriously, we walked this short trail after dinner in our sandals to see the sunset. Pretty views of the north side from the top and a spectacular place to watch the sun set. Perfectly level at the top. I bet they have yoga or painting classes up there. Looks like there is a little trail down to Trunk Bay too.

This easy trail takes you to a beautiful beach but also to Ram Head point which is beautiful!

Wife and I enjoyed a short jaunt with our 3 and 4 year old. Pretty rocky in parts but nothing a preschooler can’t handle. Nice vista of the bay.

This was a good trail but the majority of the incline in the beginning has loose rocks which are difficult with my ankles. Other than that it was enjoyable. There are many different arms you can choose while on the trial. We did the petroglyph arm and the arm on the reef bay trail to the factory. STJ never fails to produce beautiful views.

Super easy little trail. It started raining in the middle so it was slippery because of the rocks.

Gorgeous views from parts of the trail! Also, it wasn’t a huge deal for us but the second half or so of the trail was a bit overgrown.

Note that as of 1/3/19 the Caneel Hill Resort was still closed and no access was allowed, so if you’re looking to hike and then hit that beach area just adjust your post-hike plans accordingly. Luckily the hike (if you’re doing just one way and not RT) ends at a road where taxis are passing by (we got one in less than 5 min) and can take you to nearby Trunk Bay (approx 5-8 min taxi ride from the trail), Cinnamon Bay or wherever else you need to go.

Bonus: super easy to get to after getting off the ferry in Cruz Bay. Approx 5 min walk from ferry dock to the start of the trail.

easy. mainly rocky but you do get some flat spots.

Honeymoon beach out and back is awesome. Great family hike. Upper lind slightly harder

Great trail last part a little overgrown

A nice intro hike to the National Park if you do the loop clockwise out of Cruz Bay. Nice views and a former windmill. The elevation is higher than 26 feet; maybe 100 feet.

Easy hike that provides access to a few beaches and there's a nice overlook of Cruz Bay. Very rocky at points and can be slippery when wet.

The peace hill hike is okay. I’m mainly giving 5 stars because of the SMALLER trail that leads to a beautiful beach on this trail! When you’re hiking up, it’s on your right about halfway up! The trail is a little long and seems to not lead anywhere but then it opens up to a beautiful beach!

Beautiful payoff and fun hike!

Steep in places, but worth it for the amazing views. Watch out for hermit crabs on trail :)

a bit rocky, but a great hike to a wonderful beach. Took the Upper trail going to Honeymoon Beach, and the lower trail back to town.

super easy, quick and great views of the surrounding beaches! there is the ruin of an old windmill at the top

Great trail to get a bit off the path within the NP...

Excellent Trail for being one of the best access points into the National Park...

The trail begins by ascending for a little under a mile at a moderately steep grade before reaching the summit of Caneel Hill, which has fabulous views of the entire Virgin Islands Archipelago. It then dips down and passes an overlook before ascending to the summit of Margaret Hill, which also has interesting views. After that, it descends moderately for a little over a mile, and ends by the entrance to Caneel Bay Resort. I would recommend hanging out at the resort (swimming, eating) before turning back. You can also take a taxi back to Cruz Bay if you are tired. A great hike, worth the effort.

Great easy walk to start our morning.

Stunning views from a deck at the top. Bring your picnic. The constant breeze keeps you cool enough. Slippery when wet. Path is rocky, were hiking shoes with good inserts.

Fun and easy trail.

Very well-maintained and well-signed trail. Well worth the effort, with panoramic views from peak of Caneel Hill. Interesting flora

I did this trail hike/walk a little over a year ago, and I still have nostalgia for it on a regular. Super easy trail that leads to a paradise!! I wore flip flops to get there and it didn't even phase me, or my feet. Make sure you take a towel and your snorkeling gear, and plan to stay on that beach at least an hour or two! So you might wanna pack a light snack, too. So beautiful!! Can't wait to visit here again someday.

Great view

My wife and I got engaged at Salomon Beach, truly a beautiful place to hike and significant for us forever.

We took this trail to snorkel at Lameshur Bay and Yawzi Point on the day we hiked the Reef Bay Trail. The trip from the junction with Reef Bay out to Lameshur was fairly strenuous. However, the views are pretty, and the snorkeling was nice. The beach at Genti Bay (where you arrive at the end of the Reef Bay Trail) isn't very good for swimming and snorkeling, so this was our way to get some snorkeling in that day. The return trip is slightly less strenuous, though we still had to return up the Reef Bay Trail to Centerline Rd!
