A rather mild January morning with hardly a breeze but temperatures soon plummet and the winds picked up the closer we got to the summit. Visibility was reduced due to fog at the summit but this just adds another dimension to the whole journey. The decent was much more difficult with my joints. All in all a wonderful day though. Highly recommended x

Beautiful views, moderate intensity with a little more challenging scramble at the end. Would recommend!

The scramble at the end up true start of the climb to the summit can be hard going at times but the views are outstanding

For the people who don’t want to or can’t hike up to the top, a moderately challenging climb up to the second lake of Glaslyn will give you beautiful views after which you could choose to return.

You can take the easy road by simply circling the lake at lake level (very easy road) or you can climb up towards devils kitchen and make a slightly larger circle (this hike). There are some places you need to use your hands to scramble over some rocks (north-west part of the walk) but the view up there is beautiful and if you take your time it is doable for most people and you’ll still feel nicely challenged on the hike. Would rate it easy to moderate, but only moderate for a very small part.

Stunning landscape!

This is a beautiful area to explore. The trails are very clearly marked as you walk alongside the lakes and river. Most of the trail is fairly flat, but there are some areas with a fairly steady incline. There is plenty of forested areas to walk through.

Done this a few times . Must enjoyable when it’s snowing .

Thank you the site is brilliant Regards Jon

Took this on the way down after Mjners going up. Both are superb! Not overly difficult despite the “hard” rating. But you can’t beat the views on a sunny day.

Great track; phenomenal views! Would love to do it again, but alas, heading home.

A great experience!! A challenging climb for me as a I’m nit the fittest but it was gray fun.

We did Miners Pass both up and down as we completed in July when the weather was hot and some members of our party wanted to swim in the lakes on the way back down! We are CrossFitters so all of good fitness levels and found the path relatively straight forward, bit of a scramble where the Miners and PYG track meet but not too bad if you take your time.

This was my 1st time hiking a mountain and felt confident doing it, plenty of people doing it so no danger of getting lost!

Oak wood has a subtropical feel about the place, cloudy when we visited so we will be going back when the weather is clearer. £5 all day parking, loos available in the car park and tea room is open until 5. Bit of a scramble to the top and we went down the hill side to Llyn Cau which proved to bit quite slippy! Beautiful place can’t wait to return.

Pouring rain high winds. Loved it.

So so so so so stunning. Views are amazing, but the climbing scramble up and along the ridge are not for the faint. Wouldn’t try the ridge section on a gusty or rainy day unless you’re an experienced climber.

Amazing hike. Start at Pen-Y-Pass and follow the path on the right up the Pyg track. At the fork bear left (unless you want to go up Crib Goch- not for the feint-hearted!). The surface is uneven, and a good pair of walking boots is a must. The last zig-zag up to the summit is by far the hardest. Coming back, you follow the Pyg track until it veers downwards towards the visible miners track below. Although the Miners route is the easiest, it is also a long track that seems to never end. My advise is, push yourself and go all the way back via the Pyg track. It may be more difficult, but at least it keeps you engaged! Nonetheless, a wonderful walk. Highly recommended.

A definite must do if your near it!! Amazing views!

We started at Llanberis. Walked up with 6year old and 1,5 year old. Got only up to Caffe, 6 year old would not make it. Very nice views, definitely worth it, even if you go only half way there. Will come back without kids sometime or might take train up.

Great trail. Coming down as you do the trail clockwise can be a bit tricky as the trail is quite rundown.

I’ve climbed Tryfan’s North Ridge several times and it’s one of my favourite routes anywhere. It’s a scramble up a mountain rather than a walk and compared to other AllTrails walks I’ve done graded as ‘moderate’ it’s well at the top of that description. The rapid ascent will give you a workout and the views are fantastic on a clear day. Route finding- although you’re heading for the summit so, in principle, just keep going up, there are many ways to the top and you need to watch out for parts that are quite exposed or gullies that end in unclimbable rock walls. I usually go for maximum scrambling and there are plenty of challenges that for me are on the verge of needing a rope. In inclement weather the rock can be much more slippery.

I really enjoyed this and did it within 3 hours. Head for Australia lake (as it's shaped) and follow the path up. It gets quite loose near the top. Reach the style on the wall but don't go over it. Instead turn left and follow the wall, always stay this side of the wall. Where the path hits the final ascent it is not terribly clear but just look for where the rocks are discoloured slightly from other users and follow them. You will need to scramble/climb this last section but I wouldn't call it dangerous. Say hello to Adam and Eve at the top!

Great views. Fairly challenging in places.

Took this route going up to the summit of Snowdon on Monday 2nd July. Views were amazing to see in all directions.

The easiest route up the mountain. Takes a bit longer but easy to navigate. Little cafe at halfway during peak months.

fantastic views all the way round in good weather. I will say that the right hand loop is very steep with lots of loose scree and is a bit hard going on the up but the views are worth it. wild camp on summit overnight sunset was amazing. Emergency shelter is good at summit if needed.
