Couldn’t ask for a more beautiful day! This easy walk/hike offers surprises around the very turn. Filled with magic, mystery, and breathtaking views it’s a place to visit!

I asked our hotel clerk - tell me about walking here in Scotland. He looked puzzled. I clarified - you drive on the left... “Oh! he says, yeah, there are no rules. It’s a madhouse. Everyone for themselves.” If you don’t mind the rugby scrum of narrow pavement (sidewalks) with thousands of tourons (tourists + morons) then maybe you’ll enjoy the Royal Mile. The old architecture IS interesting, just too many people for my taste.

Great views and a nice way to escape some of the hordes of tourists in Edinburgh (not all of them tho). Clockwise gets you to the top faster (along a sloping path), but you have to come down the “infinite steps,” which were a bit slick. Obviously counter-clockwise means you climb the uneven, stone steps that, seriously, seemed to last forever!

Very nice walk in the forest. We made it with two little childs and it was fine.
The path is well marked and some of the views are just amazing.

Short hike with great views of the entire city. Don’t wear nice shoes.

Easy but close to town. Interesting archeological site to see as well.

This is an incredibly special place. Not much of a hike. More of a pleasant and dramatic glen to explore. Please respect the peace and sanctity of the area, and listen for the fairies.

Brilliant walk nothing to hard I took my gran and grandpa on it both in there 80s

It was a great place to see and do in Edinburgh, Scotland. I highly recommend taking the time to hike up to Arthur’s Seat, the views of the city are worth the hike.

That was really great experience.. its really nice place to visit..
but i stuck with a problem during this tour, my pocket was stolen by theft & i become cashless.. i really try for another ways, but i feel helpless at that time....
then i got some info about instant small loans & payday loans, & i got the instant loan from them...
They are the UK direct lenders. Provide small, personal, short-term, no guarantor, no credit check, unsecured, online loans with flexible monthly
repayment options. It was really help full...!!
Thanks www.EasyStepFinance.com

A good trail leads up to this pretty valley up away from the crowds of Glen Coe. Be warned this is very much a mountain environment - too many appear up here with out map/compass and in inappropriate foot wear. If it rains the trail is much harder to follow: the rocks and river can become quite treacherous.

Simply stunning. Trail starts not far from downtown Edinburgh. After the brief walk through the charming city, the climb starts on a well maintained trail that takes you up through the hills to a killer payoff of sweeping views of the city and coastline. Short spur trails hide other gems as well including ruins of an old stone structure that overlooks the city (relatively early on hike). I highly recommend exploring some of these. The hike is rated as moderate, which I think is fair, but as others noted, it could get very muddy if there’s been rain. Could be a bit of scrambling if you choose, but mostly on side trails. We started our hike at 7 am and were rewarded with arresting views of the sun coming up over the city. As good as it gets.
We’ve been in Europe for a week, and have done and seen a lot. This was by far the best thing we’ve done. You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic, with some stunning views!

The wind was crazy at the top, but I have never seen anything this beautiful. I did this trail with a group of girls while doing study abroad. This was the best day for us. All of us had a blast and are still talking about it.

Great views of the city.

Awe-freakin-some! Amazing view of the area. I was fortunate enough to start chatting with a local whose knowledge of the area was amazing!

This was an amazing stop and a highlight of my Highlands tour many years ago. Just east of Glencoe village, this area is remarkably rugged and beautiful. I stopped at an overlook near The Three Sisters, hiking down a short distance to the River Coe, and then part of the way up into the Lost Valley. I truly hope to get back to this special place one day so I can experience it again and explore it more thoroughly!

Fort William is a picturesque town on Loch Linnhe. It is surrounded by majestic mountains, including Ben Nevis…the UK’s highest peak. This was a great place to stop and explore following the scenic drive down the Caledonian Canal from Inverness.

It has been a number of years since my visit, but I distinctly remember this beautiful and unique city. I first explored parts of Old Town from Holyrood House to the Edinburgh Castle. It is easy to feel that you have stepped back in time several centuries, with many remnants of the medieval street plan and architecture. I then headed down the hill to Princes and George Streets in New Town, and the bustling mix of modern day set among the wonderful 18th-century Georgian architecture.
