Nice view but not an easy hiking. Weather changing so fast so better be ready.

Fantastic hike, agree with prior comments that locating the trail in poor visibility is tough.

Great days climbing/hiking. Tough if your fitness isn't great but still manageable. Wear good footwear and don't over pack your bag. Water/Food/fresh clothes. boom!!

Challenging yesterday afternoon with steady wind and gusts ~40mph. Great hike fantastic views on clear day.

So so so so so stunning. Views are amazing, but the climbing scramble up and along the ridge are not for the faint. Wouldn’t try the ridge section on a gusty or rainy day unless you’re an experienced climber.

Brilliant walk - hard going but the views are amazing

Amazing hike. Start at Pen-Y-Pass and follow the path on the right up the Pyg track. At the fork bear left (unless you want to go up Crib Goch- not for the feint-hearted!). The surface is uneven, and a good pair of walking boots is a must. The last zig-zag up to the summit is by far the hardest. Coming back, you follow the Pyg track until it veers downwards towards the visible miners track below. Although the Miners route is the easiest, it is also a long track that seems to never end. My advise is, push yourself and go all the way back via the Pyg track. It may be more difficult, but at least it keeps you engaged! Nonetheless, a wonderful walk. Highly recommended.

A definite must do if your near it!! Amazing views!

We started at Llanberis. Walked up with 6year old and 1,5 year old. Got only up to Caffe, 6 year old would not make it. Very nice views, definitely worth it, even if you go only half way there. Will come back without kids sometime or might take train up.

Hard gong in places but the view from the top is more than worth the effort

Steep up and down, but great view of the lake all throughout.

Simple route which at the summit provides excellent views. Very stony so decent hiking boots are a must!

Beast of a hike but awesome!

Took this route going up to the summit of Snowdon on Monday 2nd July. Views were amazing to see in all directions.

The easiest route up the mountain. Takes a bit longer but easy to navigate. Little cafe at halfway during peak months.

Tough wee climb this one, well worth it!

Good moderate hike with some tough steep climbs

Breath taking at points but you needs some balls of steel for the ridge walk

Great place, crazy rock formations but care needed in poor visibility, very easy to lose the trail.

Awesome views of the entire northwest coast of Scotland the inner and outer hebredian islands. Best views in Scotland

Beautiful scenery had an amazing time. Didn't do the whole trail as there was a ram at the top my dog took a disliking to but still completed a loop. The rocky cliffs remind me of the rock monsters from the never ending story.

This route should probably be named “Helvellyn via Swirls Carpark” it is a bit of a plod, but the most direct & probably easiest route up Helvellyn. It is not particularly inspiring. The views are great (and the only reason I’d give it 4*s).

An interesting alternative way up is to scramble up the stream that much of the lower path follows ~grade 1. Coming down you can make a loop heading north towards Raise and coming down the fells on that side of the bowl. Be careful to cross the stream away from the cliffs.

This route is described elsewhere under a different name with more reviews. It’s basically The shortest and least pleasant way up. It’s a prerequisite to actually know what you’re doing with a map and compass. ...as well as having them with you as the weather changes at the drop of a hat. The route finding near the summit can be poor. Boots people - it’s a rough hill and far too many people get carried off by MRT.

Fantastic! What a beautiful climb. We did this climb last year while visiting Scotland. I was sore for so many days after. Ha. But I am way out of shape. I still did it. Absolutely a highlight of my life!

I climbed Snowdon with school it a real good challenge but make sure you go at the right time and bring a lot of water because the higher you go the losers the stones are.

It a nice pleasant walk and most of it doesn't rate "hike" at all. I grew up 5 miles from here and used to walk or cycle up here. Best times are out of tourist season.
