90% of trail is automobile traffic. Trail is cycle friendly, but be aware of blind stupid drivers

Trail passes through a great variety of things to see. Only downside is there are very few markings and it’s quite easy to lose the trail

Beautiful hiking path from Olgunlar village to the Deniz Golu on Kackar Mountain. Can be done as a day hike, but proper shoes are recommended

It has historical sites and local Anatolian life style. You will see a lot of goats, olive trees and rocks. Just follow the red stripes on the rocks and you will have a great time

Going down from Gelidonya lighthouse to the last point of the road, pretty easy. Last part was really bad idea with no trail.

So beautiful and magical. This whole place has incredible natural beauty, dramatic landscapes, amazing architecture, history, religious history. Layers of events that have occurred here as well as amazing hiking.

most impressive Roman ruins I've been to -- better than everything in Rome except the Coliseum, IMHO. You can ignore the overpriced guides waiting outside the gate, and the official government audio guide is well worth the money

Long up heading south from Ovacik, but the breathtaking views are worth it. Detoured to Faralya and stayed the night at George House above Butterfly Canyon. A must-do trail.

From the start you get really beautiful views of oleduniz beach and the paragliders coming down the mountain. But what was disappointing is that this trail is actually a dirt road that cars go on (only got about 2 miles in so not sure about the rest), and it’s full of trash. That definitely takes away from the scenic atmosphere.

This is not a nature trail for hiking or running. It's a historical walk that passes museums and palaces in and amongst busy city streets full of tourists.

Many water fountain on the road part, none on the trail. Farm ruins is a nice place for a Picnic.

Beautiful hike with a wonderful view. The start of the hike is not well indicated, but you can easily find based on this map. The first part (ascension for about 2 hours) was a bit difficult with the warm sun and heavy bag, however the rest of the path was pleasant and well marked. We stopped to drink delicious fresh orange and pomegranate juice in a small family place on the way. Overall, would recommend sun screen, lots of water and light bags to enjoy the most. Highly recommended. October was a great time to visit, since we were almost alone on the trail and had perfect weather (including amazing view from thunderstorm from our hotel in Faralya).

Trailhead was difficult to find in Ovacik and we wandered quite a bit before we could find it. Once you are on the trail though you begin ascending up from the town. Be sure to bring lots of water, sun protection, and snacks. Although it passes through some sleepy villages there wasn't really anywhere to buy such things and the wells were all dry. Luckily once we were high enough in the hillside the clouds gave us some reprieve. The trail is pretty well marked, well travelled, and cobble stone. As you descend towards Faralya you go through some forest and the terrain gets a bit rockier.

Probably the most enjoyable hiking trail in Cappadocia as it features a bit of everything. Stunning rock formations, excellent views and a number of historic churches, some that feature impressive paintings. Route finding is relatively simple, but the number of alternate routes through each valley means its worth having a map to be sure you don't miss any churches. The tea gardens along the route are a really nice way to take a moment and relax, especially if it is warm. Certainly this was the most memorable of the trails we completed in Cappadocia.

Comfortable, easy hike that takes in many dramatic hoodos and features excellent views over Cappadocia. Located on the same road that leads to the open air museum, this is a perfect short hike to escape the crowds and take in the scenery.
