great trail, not too steep. saw plenty of kids at the top too, so challenging for them but still doable. great for dogs too. quite windy at the top, needed a hat and gloves mid october, so guessing it gets very cold as the winter comes in, so make sure you bring layers in your rucksack, and a flask of tea. beautiful views all around.

Good to do it in the wet weather, lots of wind and a lot of people not equipped for it

What an amazing trail. The entire family loved it, including my 5 yr old. Weather changes at the blink of an eye. Make sure to have water proof clothings, hiking shoes, few things to nibble, and a camera as the views from the top are breathtakingly stunning. It also gets really windy at the top, so take care.

The clockwise route is harder yet a lot more satisfying when you reach the top.

450 calories power walking all the way up and running back down within 50 minutes, as if.

Excellent trail... first mountain and wasn’t disappointed. Will definitely be returning to do the 10 mile trail next.

Very open and good views, underfoot is cobbled and wide enough to pass family’s, very dog friendly however livestock is free roaming in this area. Can get cold at the top with deadly drops at the top. Advise doing only during the day. Lots of parking at the base and a brew station even on Sunday.

Stunning views across the Brecon Beacons and for an extra 10 minutes you can complete both summits. The trail is as described and moderately difficult but can get very crowded on weekends and especially on bank holidays. There are two trail heads on the A470 and both well trodden paths. Well worth a hike up.

The whole trail was covered in snow today, from top to bottom. kids came along for fun. I was the worst dad ever half way up and the best dad ever when we finished with a nice cup of coffee 2 and a half hours later

If you do this from the Pont a Daf carpark it is very busy and can get congested with massive parking issues! Locally called the M4 due to the sheer number of people who do this path! Easy enough to do though, but expect to queue at the top for a photo by the cairn! If you do the trail from the Storey Arms, it is more difficult but you will still experience same parking issues! Oh for the days when no one climbed this!!!
