Elan Valley from Llansantffraed Cwmdeuddwr is a 16.4 mile loop trail located near Rhayader, Powys, Wales that features a lake and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail.
It's big climb near the start at Llansantffraed Cwmdeuddwr, some really boggy bits to get to Elan Valley but definitely worth the fantastic views and gorgeous scenery. The dams are really interesting and great example of engineering. A must visit whether that is walking, driving, cycling, or just to enjoy some time in nature. Surrounded by the beautiful Welsh nature, this trail is great choice for a day trip driving through the mid Welsh countryside. The forests, the waters and wildlife will take your breath away.
