This is an incredible trail up to Snowdon via Watkin Path. The route is relatively easy, and the scree is nothing to be concerned about. Do take the 25 minutes to head up Yr Aran from the saddle as the views of the routes up and down can be clearly seen.

Wow. Amazing trail, best I’ve done in the UK for me (lucky to have perfect weather). Tough hike, not recommend for beginners, lots of scrambles, one scary section (final ascent up to Snowdon) but worth it! This hike has everything, views, scrambles, clear blue lagoons with waterfalls you can swim in. Also a lot less busier than the other trails. Highly recommend.

Watkins path was good to start with, but towards the top it was a scramble no visual route on hands and knees. Decided to come down via Llanberis path as didn’t fancy the rite back down. Great experience though with my dog.

Really good trial, hard going towards the top but rewarding,we did the whatkin to the summit,& down the miners almost 23k all the way around,I’d definitely recommend you do the whatkin but not with children as the climbing is steep, see you soon again whatkin path

Amazing trail, even in cloud it’s super scenic, waterfalls, ruins, and when you climb high enough views over looking crib goch, pyg and miners trail. Lots of steps so does work the legs! seems a bit quieter than the other routes up snowdon which is nice. Very steep loose stone nearing the top, but all good fun

A great way up Snowdon and a lot less busy than the Pyg and Miners tracks. Nice also to tackle the mountain from the other side. Most of the walk is well signed and easy paths until the last bit of ascent which is very steep and a bit of a scramble. I did the walk with my son though and we made it to the summit. If it’s your first time up Snowdon or your first big mountain walk I would recommend another easier path.

If you love a challenge this is defiantly the route to take. Provides stunning views and interesting points to see along the way to keep you going. Can be difficult at times especially near the summit with steep and scree slopes before rejoining the main path but overall it’s a fantastic route to take. Appropriate hiking gear is defiantly needed!

I have done this route lots of times, it is my favourite way up snowdon and also the quietest. Most of it is quite easy going, until it gets sharply steeper, finishing with half an hour or so of scrambling. So wear appropriate clothing and footwear, and don't carry ridiculously big/heavy backpacks because it will slow you down. The last bit is quite dangerous if you aren't confident, and the way is not marked. I have a few times seen people get quite upset and give up at this part, so if you are looking for more of a hike/walk, I would suggest one of the other routes, which offer equally great views and sense of achievement. :)
