Did this with my 15 year old daughter who was new to hiking, very windy, a bit of a scramble at the end. Need decent fitness to get there and back, but really enjoyed. I struggle with heights and at times a little nervous, beautiful views

Me & the better half decided to do this for our first ever hiking trip. We done some research but none of it will prep your muscles & stamina we found you need to reach the summit, but we made it to the top & was well worth it. We didn't find the track overly hard but definitely need to be fit/healthy bodied. 100% would recommend to anyone thinking of giving it a go.

Beautiful hike. Parking was a nightmare, we arrived about 8am and the main one was full, so we parked on the main road at the bottom of the hill just off the side of the road for 4 quid. Then we walked 1 mile up to the start of pyg trail where we went up to the peak then down the miners. Having just come from a month hiking in USA, where most hikes were empty , this hike in Snowdon was just far too populated , there were so many people it wasn't even funny. I wish had of come earlier in the year , the train to the top doesn't help as it dumps like 60 people at the top each time it comes up.

Pyg Track up and Miners down. Views will range from nothing to breathtaking depending on weather. And the earlier, the better - avoid the crowds especially at Penypass Car Park (gets full quickly) and the summit (will have to queue when train start running) A great route to Snowdon.

Great views. For novice walkers I'd recommend walking up the pyg and down the miners. Interesting climb to start, then it levels for a pretty walk with views of the lakes, then joins the miners and goes up to the zigzags. Bit scrabbly in places but nothing challenging. Beware the people who've just jumped off the train. We found the route suddenly swamped several times with sightseers.

Not to hard but by no account is it easy. You get some amazing views along the way. Would definitely recommend this route.

Hiked Snowdon a few times. Loved every second of it :-) The Pyg is easy to follow and I would say moderate rather than hard. Enjoy the beautiful views :-)

The scramble at the end up true start of the climb to the summit can be hard going at times but the views are outstanding

Took this on the way down after Mjners going up. Both are superb! Not overly difficult despite the “hard” rating. But you can’t beat the views on a sunny day.

Great fun scrambling, we did the miners track back and enjoyed a pasty at the top.

Absolutely brilliant walk! I would recommend this over the Miners Path any day! Hard slog at times but on a clear day the views are amazing from any point of the walk! Beware of the amount of biting midges at the top though!!!

Tricky first ascent, mostly steep stairs. It gets gradual after that then a scramble to the top at the end. Would recommend this over coming up the miners track any day!
